  1. Kayyyyy_ someone posted on the Redlands thread that they got in off of the wait list yesterday but planned to decline. Maybe that means you'll be contacted on Monday!
  2. There is a discussion on here that lists the FB page for each program. I added ours to the list for anyone who doesn't come to this thread.
  3. University of Redlands Redlands Communicative Disorders Class of 2017 https://www.facebook.com/groups/675939895845153/ Closed group - request to join
  4. So sorry! That one from Redlands was me! I hope they still have some spots come open for you!!
  5. The early deadline school doesn't even offer any financial packages.
  6. So, one of the schools I was accepted to had a an acceptance deadline of March 16. I had not heard from any other schools at that point, so I accepted the offer knowing that I needed to secure the spot since it was my only acceptance. I could withdraw later if I got in somewhere else. According to everyone on here, this is not uncommon & most schools expect some of this. Fast forward to April. I just found out yesterday that I was accepted off of the waitlist at my top-choice school. I emailed the other school to withdraw my acceptance. I emailed 2 people who I have been interacting with. One of them sent a message to me by mistake rather than to the other person at their school. The message said, "You’ve got to be kidding me! So they’re using this as their fall-back? Let me see if I can come up with any brilliant ideas to help prevent this in the future." Apparently they didn't expect any melt & they are now upset that I withdrew. I feel bad, but really? How could they not expect any late withdrawals?
  7. Thanks all! I'm pretty shocked and beyond excited!
  8. Thank you, Holly!! That is so sweet! I just sent you a pm about setting up the FB group. I actually live in Riverside, which is about a 20 minute drive from campus. We own a house, so I do not plan on relocating to Redlands. I am totally willing to hang out & study in the speechie apartment community though!
  9. I just got in off of the wait list at U of Redlands!!! So excited!
  10. Does anyone know if there is a facebook group set up yet?
  11. I just got in to Redlands off of the wait list!!! Just sent my acceptance!
  12. Congratulations!! When did you receive the email?
  13. Has anyone heard anything about the wait list? I haven't heard of a single person from the wait list being contacted yet, but it seems crazy to me that they would not have started pulling from the list yet....
  14. Great news!! I love seeing these posts! Even if I don't get into the school where I'm waitlisted, I still have one acceptance. I'm so happy to see people who have no other offers getting in off of waitlists!!
  15. Good grief! I'm starting to think their wait list must be pretty long...
  16. Was Redlands one of them? I'm desperately trying to figure out if they have even started to contact people on their wait list.
  17. kayyyyy_ Redlands is the one I'm waiting for! Let me know if you hear from them!!
  18. Kayyyyy_ and mlc1011, where are you waitlisted?
  19. Oh no, whirlp! I can't imagine what you must be going through. Thankfully I have been accepted at one school...but you are counting on wait lists to be able to go to grad school at all this year. Good luck to you!!!
  20. I've been accepted to my 4th choice school, but I've been waitlisted at my 2nd choice school. Today is the deadline for accepted students to accept their spots. Realistically, I know waitlisted students probably won't hear anything until at least tomorrow, but I can't stop checking my email. Any one else??
  21. Thanks for the input, Angie! I'll take any info I can get! When I looked at the stats on ASHA, I assumed the 65 number was the number or total offers that they made, including offers to people on the waitlist. If that's true, I think that means they made offers to about 40 waitlisted people. That sounds like good odds to me, but maybe I'm just being overly optimistic!
  22. The COMD classes are only offered during the full 14 week summer session, which starts in May, I think. I just finished USU's online post bacc program in December. I worked 40+ hours per week during the program. For the first 3 semesters I took 2 classes each semester, then I took 3 classes for the last 2 semesters. It took me 5 semesters total. I also have two 2nd grade kids that I juggled in that work/school/family mix. I won't lie...it was tough, but doable. I didn't have much time for myself, but I needed to keep working, so I just did what I had to.
  23. I am in love with your username! Went to Saint Malo (in Brittany region) about a year ago & had the most AMAZING kouign amann!!
  24. Also wondering if anyone on the waitlist has heard anything. Last year, not a single waitlisted person posted on the results page that they were admitted. It's weird. None so far this year either. I know not everyone who applied is on gradcafe, but it's making me nervous!
