Hey all FWIW i emailed the graduate secretary of a program i haven't heard from and told her im pretty nervous about the whole process and asked politely to know about my admission decision. I got a kind letter stating there were lots o applications this year and that the adcom is still reviewing applications. On the other hand, I had some interviews (Skype) with another school and i still haven't heard back (Over three weeks). I'm very nervous about my chances as the interview didn't really go as well as i wanted (Skype glitches , some questions weren't satisfactorily answered).Im probably overthinking but i don't see myself emailing the program chair for a decision until mid march.I think calling could be option due to the anonymity. What do you guys think?

Asking directly at this time may seem forward. I would certainly wait till mid march before i send a carefully worded letter about when to expect funding decisions.

Ok I've been notified unofficially by the program coordinator that I've been recommended for admission by the graduate committee following a Skype interview. However, the official letter would not be available until funding decisions have been made. Any one else in this situation? Another round of waiting....

My dream school (which I still haven't heard from) sent someone else's admission letter and funding details to my email. The same program. They could only apologize. Felt crushed. Called the department thinking my own letter was also sent to the person's email? The grad coordinator said decisions hadn't been taken. Weird!!

Same here. I was notified of provisional admission by the graduate coordinator pending when they ratify the funding decisions. I'm so nervous and it's been two weeks No funding no grad school sadly. The wait is hard.

I did get an email from the university of Florida detailing admission decision alongside Fulbright funding from my program of choice only to find out it was addressed to someone else and was mistakenly sent to my email. Was devastated to find out that admissions decisions had being taken. Called the director and he said the adcom would sit in a few days....Never heard back Human errors suck.

If the said friend applied to the same program as you did then I'd be worried. If not then I'd shoot the program coordinator an email.

I second this. During my interview Skype momentarily froze for about 10 seconds. Pretty awkward. They kept telling me they couldn't hear me properly. Overall the interview went well.

So true Applies to me too

It is important to have questions for them. Show them youve done some background work and you've taken some time to research the department.

Too short Points aren't well developed. Poor punctuation. Paragraphs don't give unique points supporting or opposing the topic. 2.5/6

Your gre is NOT great. Toefl isn't any better. You should have retaken the exams honestly. I know it's quite annoying the emphasis placed on standardized tests but hey it is what it is and we have to find a way around those pesky tests. Pharm science is also very competitive. You should have rewritten the exams.

Seems a faculty member left unexpectedly That's no excuse however. I'm demanding a refund.

So i recently applied to the University of New Mexico last week for the Pharmacy program and just yesterday i decided to peruse the website only to see a notice that the department is currently having not going to take any student for fall 2015 because there's no space for incoming student. This message is coming a week to the priority deadline stated on their website. Its so painful looking back at how stressful that application was, needless to say it was very expensive as well. Is such unprofessionalism even acceptable?? Who regulates these things? Why should a school announce such a decision a week to the deadline>> Bitterly disappointed applicant
