Please could you look as i am not native speaker ? “The only source of knowledge is experience.” Albert Einstein My long term goal is to study how neuroendocrinological changes may affect behaviour and cognition. As a child I felt in love in “small thingy that changes everything” - endocrinology as my mother and I often visited clinical endocrinologist due to her illness- Addisson's Disease. Over the year I begun to observe psychological and cognition changes developing in patients with endocrinological diseases. In search for responses I decided to studying Medicine first, but as my interest in research grow, I transferred to Biomedical Sciences. Seeking Additional experiences and elucidation to some of my childhood questions I stumbled upon studies of Professor m and it pounded me that neuroendocrinology is what I have been looking for. My driving motivation in pursuing career is passion for science amd teaching, transition of “bench science” to clinical practice. The words of Alfred Einstein, “If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough.” inspired me to challenge myself by teaching some lay- back audience neuroscientific concepts in Famelab competition, where I became a Scottish laureate. It was a great joy to fascinate public with neuroscience and possibly implant future passion. Althouht the road to Academia is often long and rocky I would like to become in future become a good professor with equal pleasure from teaching as from research. In order to pursue these long term goal I have decided to contact with professor M strengthen my lab skills and knowledge irreplaceable in pursuing PhD and later post-doc. This research grant would allow me to gain essential experience in a lab setting among magnificent faculty, necessary to pursue future career in academia. This experience will teach me various scientific techniques in practice such as immunochemistry, western blotting, data collection and analysis, which will be substantially benefiting me in my future research career.

  11. Maybe think in this way: the highest is first, second is 2:1 and after that you have 2:2and then third and no pass.2:2 is what the majority of what graduates achieves. Or2:1. First is rare and difficult to achieve
  12. I am doing biomedical sc, dream of PhD in neuroscience especially Neuroendocrinology.. The lab is neuroendo, it would give me critical research experience. I am ultra motivated, passion driven in one word, it would be a life changing or pushing point.

I'm sorry mate. For last six hours I ve been going trough all his past papers to assume what methodology he uses. He is very famous, very respected professor, worked for ivy,it is almost a miracle that he agreed without knowing me to take me for studentship, and I don't want to bother him too much, especially that he is a very busy man.it is why he asked to fulfil as much application as I could, his sections in application et cetera.I am really stressed about it,as from that my future really depends.I am now off from Uni, have been seriously ill,had a major surgery and he agreed without talking and seeing me in person, but just from some YouTube videos to apply to his society for funding for me.

Hi thanks but my poi asked me to prepare this section, while he looks for possible project for me, so therefore I have no idea, what techniques will be involved

See this thing is very rhetoric. It is like, I am motivated and passion driven student,it will help in pursuing my dream career, learning new techniques and strengthen skills. But I think it is what all people write and even for me it sounds like blah blah blah

Hi, guys, could you please help me. My poi for summer research sent me a request to fulfil some sections more for the grant. One of them is: Justification for student funding.” – this would cover how this will help you in your intended future career. Guys, please help me. I'm not a native speaker, this is society grant, very important for me, and I have no idea how to write it professionally and elegantly.
  18. Please guys, I'm sure you have some ideas, I have just weekend to do it.

    dilemma

Hi, I have a problem and looking how to solve it.one of professors who never saw me, at my university, very respectable, agreed to take me in the summer and apply for funding.deadline 1 April.in Monday I sent him a form, and questions about the project, and application, however he did not reply. I have no idea how I should email him, to not be too pushy,or leave bad impression. however, it is ultra important for me and he knows that. Normally he always responded the same day.
  22. Please guys tell me what is the difference between these two? I am looking for neuroscience.
  23. i was wondering, as still undergrad student, i get caught interested in many subject, like anatomy, neuroscience, endocrinology, but microbiology and genetics too, i am doing biomed science with anatomy, but there is a very big chunk of neuro too. i was wondering, if there are high popular programs contra less popular? i was thinking going in direction of neuro, but i have plenty of inspiring professors whcich seems to shout something like me!me! i am catching myslef too on this thing that everything is so highly connected that it is hard to separate, lets say addsion disease: immunosupresion: endocrionology: neuroendocrinology: genetics, behavioral: cognitive etc.........
  24. Appsitude cheers for reply. actually the guy is here in UK, but i know he worked for couple of years at harvard and Mass. as a ass. prof. Which unis you think I should apply and have chances as international? i think of mostly neuroscience/ biomed/ anatomy but still i really like genetics and embryo/ devo
