Hi, I work in a semiconductor fab as a process engineer. Even though my background is ECE, I am currently more involved in material science work. My team works in thin-film deposition for microchips. The work basically involves understanding how process parameters can have an effect on material properties (especially optical and electrical properties). Also, on the go, you get to learn a lot of cool stuffs like plasma physics and thermal behavior in nano-scale as well as other physical properties.
