  1. Crazy this cycle in my mind, heard from 2 took the blows and took a break, now it is all I can think about. Crazy wanting something so much that can be decided on factors you may never know that maybe were misjudged
  2. I think that staying positive is the best method. I do believe that there is something to be said about creating and sending positive energy into the world, that it will come back to you, be it karma or something else. The stress comes from knowing the committee meets Friday to make initial decisions (top choice), I can't picture how I will be starting Friday knowing that it is possible my plans are made and decided for the next few years. It's exciting
  3. Looking for advice about what to do, I have the chance to interview with a member of the adcom team before they meet in the next couple weeks and I was planning on driving about 4.5 hours to be there in person. When doing some follow up I was told they would be more than happy to meet with me but were concerned about the long drive, am I just reading to much into this? Should I still plan on going or stick to the call?
  4. It may also be possible to touch base with someone within the graduate department responsible for organizing the applications and have them swap it out, I had to do that on one of mine, they were extremely helpful. Also for one of my schools the deadline isn't until March! Hoping to have to move across the country this summer, being a planner would love to know earlier.
  5. My brain keeps telling me "hey go check the application status" the deadline hasn't even passed yet.
  6. I have never gotten it to work, tired multiple browsers, emailed and called them and received no support
  7. Thanks, I was thinking along those lines as well but was looking for confirmation
  8. Hello, I was wondering if others with more knowledge on the subject can explain that while it seems most schools have a December of January deadline for doctoral programs why some would have a March deadline.
  9. I have spent way to much time on this thread since my decision last spring to start looking at PhD programs in Education. This fall I have begun the application process, with a specific focus in Teaching and Teacher Education, with a side of Policy. I thought we could start a thread to pull us together and share information. I am looking at a host of programs I have applied to 4 at the moment with another 4 in progress. Where are you at?
  10. Being at the point of just applying to schools if the phone rang for 2/4 right now I would commit without hesitation, I attended ASU for undergrad and love the people and location, the professors are exceptional, and UNLV simply has the program I dream about Teacher Education
  11. I am hitting the button as I complete them, I see no benefit in waiting until the deadlines. It also helps me spread the cost of applying out so I don't have to worry about finding a large chunk of change.
  12. Greetings, This will be my first (and hopefully) only go around in applying for doctoral programs. The problem with the stress level I have already applied to three schools, and even though I am busy working and preparing a few more applications I don't know how I can make it until March for decisions. I will be bald or grey.
