  1. I emailed UW-Whitewater..they had over 230 applicants this year. Decisions will be going out all week via email and postal mail..so no news isn't necessarily bad news yet!
  2. Ah, I wasn't aware of that. That's discouraging!
  3. I was wondering the same thing! I can't imagine hearing back this late in the day, but they mentioned today was it. Looks like I'll be obsessively checking my e-mail all evening
  4. Another day, another wait list. St Xavier this time. At this point I'm pumped to not have received another rejection letter!
  5. I feel your pain @Linda_P....4 rejections, 1 waitlist, and out of my four I have yet to hear from I'm expecting rejections across the board
  6. We're supposed to hear from Whitewater today, right?
  7. Sad to say I was rejected by UWM. Congratulations to everyone who got in
  8. I applied to four schools in the Midwest. I've gotten a waitlist from Rush and will be hearing from two more (UW-M & UW-W) this coming weekend (eek!). I personally really hope I get into one of these schools because I'm from the east coast and would LOVE to experience a different part of the country rather than just staying around where I know.
  9. @NSSLHANerd, yes--those waitlist stats are definitely encouraging! Good luck to you as well!! I hope we all get an acceptance or two over the next few days to put our minds at ease
  10. I hadn't seen those stats, thank you! I'm nervous but hopefully I have a solid shot. Here's to hoping I find something to occupy my time until Friday....fingers crossed for all of us!
  11. UWM's website mentions a minimum 3.0 for consideration for the program, and ASHA's site had the lower end of the GPA range for UWM listed somewhere around 2.98. Do you know if it's fairly accurate that some applicants are accepted that don't have 3.5+ GPA (especially if they have good GREs?)? I originally decided to apply because of these stats but as I looked more into the school and into Milwaukee I've kinda fallen in love and it's my top choice. I'm so anxious for this weekend!
  12. I feel you, I got waitlisted at one of my top two schools. I'm a bit disheartened because apparently there's the "high wait list" and the regular wait list...that I'm on. I plan on e-mailing to see what my odds are though. Can't hurt, right?
  13. I've been told that Towson should be sending out decisions this week, not sure if its by e-mail or postal. Ms. Aguilar at Loyola also said decisions would be sent by postal by the end of the month, and that we'd receive and e-mail notifying us when they were mailed so that we can let the school know if the delivery was untimely.
  14. Ugh seriously. I'm expecting to hear from two more schools this coming weekend...March is proving to be torturous.
  15. Good luck @polarbeara!!! I'm in the same situation with Rush right now...and I'm sure it'll be the same next weekend when we're supposed to hear from Milwaukee and Whitewater
  16. There are two acceptances listed on the admission results page....ugh time for my anxiety level to go through the roof.
  17. Congratulations @pdxlady1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You must be so incredibly relieved/excited
  18. Loyola University of Maryland emphasizes numerous times on their site that because they're a Jesuit school, they look at the whole student, not just the GRE/GPA.
  19. @oneshot35, that definitely gives me hope, and congratulations!!!! Though I did address my low GPA and other personal circumstances in my statement, I still wish I had started e-mailing programs before starting my whole application process and having recommenders submit letters. I probably would have switched 4 of the schools I to which I applied for elsewhere, and would have felt better that I would at least be somewhat recognized. I made it through to the supplemental round for Rush, so I'm hoping that ends positively, and I hope the schools I applied to with the lower GPA cutoffs end up in acceptances as well. I have to say @twinguy7, your advice has been incredibly helpful, and should I need to involve myself in the next application season, I will definitely be taking some plays out of your book! Heads up and fingers crossed
  20. I applied to Pitt. If i recall correctly they're e-mailing decisions next weekend
  21. I definitely prefer the nightmares...I'd rather wake up relieved! @NSSLHANerd I definitely will if I get in...in the mean time, I don't want to fall in love more than I already am. Its in my top 3 of places I want to go!
  22. Ugh I had a dream last night that I got into UW-Milwaukee! Too bad I woke up Anyone else been constantly dreaming that they've been accepted somewhere?
  23. This is why I'm so glad I found this forum; everyone is so supportive. Thanks for the good vibes guys
  24. Ugh yes, its incredibly disheartening. My overall is 3.1 (in major 3.15), and though I took two years off school to regain my focus and my in major GPA since I've been back is 3.9, I'm TERRIFIED that I'll just never get in anywhere in an area of the country that I want to be in. I did get through to the supplemental round for Rush, but I don't have particularly high hopes for anything.
