anyone decided to accept University of Oklahoma?
-
I contacted them a few days ago. I think it is quite within reason to ask them especially considering there is not much time left. You don't lose anything. But maybe because there is not much time left you should wait. I am not sure now:/

I just learned that I was accepted off the waitlist to University of Oklahoma M.A. program (with funding). I have applied for a Ph.D., I am excited about this offer though. I am also waiting to hear back from one more school. It is still not too late for those who are waiting I guess. I hope all of us will be happy with our decisions!

thanks for your opinions! I will certainly send another e-mail. (but I guess it is hopeless) I just learned that I was accepted off the waitlist at Oklahoma University M.A. program (with funding). I am really excited about this. Now, it is really time for a decision I would really appreciate any ideas about OU btw.

Thanks ! I already sent an e-mail to the DGS about two weeks ago but no answer yet (and I am suspicious there will be). Maybe I should ask to the current students.

I was admitted to the Ph.D. program at USF(South Florida). The department is a good fit for me. However, after a solicited e-mail from faculty secretary I am informed that they are not available to offer me funding. I saw on the website that the department funds continuing Ph.D. students so I began to think on the question below. I really need your opinions to clarify my position. Is it common to begin your study without funding and to get funding(TA) during or after the first year? do you know anybody who experienced the same situation at USF? thank you in advance and good luck with your decisions!

Did you send any email for an update? I am also waiting to hear back.

Does anybody know when visits to the University of Oklahoma take place? thanks!
-
Thanks! I just saw your post on the results page. good luck with the funding status
-
Congrats. When did you hear from them?
-
I didn't apply to Miami but Vanderbilt. And no words yet. It is really hard to find out if they send all acceptances same day or acceptances spread out. It depends on the school I guess. Congrats everybody who got acceptance btw.

Applied to Vanderbilt. No news yet. Congrats sar1906.
-
congrats! and wow, really good news for you so far

I have still one application to submit (deadline is the end of this month). And I just can't stop myself from making some changes on my SOP. You are at least finished with your applications (what's done is done)... so look at the bright side I wish everyone good luck.

I might have understood your question wrong so sorry if my answer is irrelevant. I have two friends who are now PhD students in US, and at the same time they are enrolled in another university (in their home-country. they just freeze their registration if it is required to do so). So, as far as know it is formally possible to be "linked" to two universities.

I see. thank you! I suddenly got flurried in fear that the department will never be able to review my application with a full consideration. thanks again.

hi everyone, I have a question. I checked one of my applications yesterday and saw that my application is still in review of grad. admissions (I applied on January 13, and the deadline was Jan. 15). Is it normal that the deparment didn't begin to review my application yet? (I know you are not experts on this issue but I will appreciate any ideas). thank you!

Hi everyone. I have a question. I checked my application status for one of the schools yesterday (deadline was January 15 and I submitted on January 13) and saw that my materials are still in review of Graduate admissions. Of course you are not experts on this issue but I wonder if you have any idea about that submitting your application very close to the deadline has any negative impact on the review of the application. (do applications received early by the department have a chance to be evaluated earlier than others received after the deadline?or they are all ready to be reviewed at the same time?) My question is quite useless I know but I suddenly became paranoiac haha:) Thank you in advance.
