Hey fpc, I applied for the short term research grant. I wonder all decisions are sent out more or less around the same time, since the school terms in Germany start in October. I had applied to DAAD like 8 years ago for my masters and I got a response around May - but that was when I applied not from the US. Hope this helps!
-
Hi everybody! For the ones that applied through the US office, I gave them a call today to ask about the status of my application. I got rejected but encouraged to apply in the next term. Oh well... I was also told that they will start sending out emails regarding the decisions next week. Good luck!
-
No, I got 4 rejections on the same week :\
-
Hello everybody. Apparently Princeton sent out the decisions. I am rejected :/ any good news from your side?
-
And congratulations!! I hope it works out and you get off the waitlist
-
Hey gpallares, one question, did you find it out via email?? I have been told that I should be able to see it on the applyweb website but I cannot. Where do I need to check?
-
Anybody heard from cornell?? I called them today and they told me that the results have been sent out. They told me to check the website but I didnt receive anything, no acceptance or rejections. Anybody heard anything?
-
Hey gpallares, I have actually waiting to hear from Cornell, Princeton, PennState, University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and University of Wisconsin. I got an email yesterday from my POI from PennState and she told me that the decisions, with the financial aid information will be available somewhere around 2 weeks. Other than that no clue about the others still...
-
Me too... WHY DO THEY HAVE TO WAIT THIS MUCH!
-
I did apply to Cornell and Princeton. I have seen tons of posts on results page about cornell. So maybe this week they would send them out?
-
so, the decisions for harvard are out. I am rejected, no surprises...
-
This is getting so frustrating!!!!
-
Did anybody hear back from any other place?
-
Nope, still did not hear anything more form them. I just emailed to ask about the admission status as it has not been changed. I advise you to go on and email them. I have been told that the current graduate coordinator is on leave, so Prof. Benes took her spot, I suppose you can email her?
-
Nope, UT Austin is the only place I heard back from. On the results page I have seen somebody getting accepted to Harvard GSD though
-
Thank you very very much!!!
-
I got an email today from UT Austin. It was the graduate coordinator of the faculty. She told me that I am accepted, however they still did not figure out the funding details. She told me that they will send official letters this week.
-
can I ask where did you hear from?
-
Hey gpallares81, I have contacted ut and they have told me that they had their admission meeting and will start sending out decisions soon. Fingers crossed
-
I didn't get anything from Harvard yet. On the other hand I applied to PhD in Architecture via GSAS, not GSD. So I doubt the processes would be the same...
-
Graduate office at UT says that they will send them out on late february/early march. So let's say no news is good news and wait....
-
So in the results page I saw that post about UT sending a rejection letter to someone. Although the guy was rejected by a master's program I cannot stop refreshing the application page only to see the same status: "in review"... Do you know when would they send out decisions - talking about UT Austin? I have tried to call them but nobody answers and I am reluctant to send my POI an email about that...

As a matter of fact I have a close friend that got accepted to OI at University of Chicago. I suppose this is where you applied. As far as I know they did not have any interviews at the time, which was 3 years ago, I don's suppose they changed it. They had their recruitment weekend late march. This was the first time he went there. I hope this was useful.

Yeah, that thing about contacting the professors is the same with me. I had sent emails to various prof. beforehand, few of them answered and I managed to arrange a skype interview with just one of them. The other ones that answered, especially the ones in Harvard and Princeton told me to go ahead and submit my application and they will have a look at that. And although I did not end up applying, I contacted with a professor from Columbia, she told me the same. So I suppose (or what I want to believe) it does not make that much of a difference. About the interview thing,no I haven't received any invitations from any of the schools. I want to believe and I hope they will not have any interviews. The professor I managed to have a skype call, the one from Un. of Texas at Austin told me that they will not be having any interviews. I don't suppose all schools have interviews. It is a relief that I haven't seen any acceptances or rejections in the results search page . Most of the schools sent their decisions in late february or early march last year. So more waiting for us unfortunately... I have a some questions though... First did you apply for the history and theory tracks? If so did you sent out any portfolios? And second is about the GRE results. Mine are mediocre, you think they would give us a rest on the verbal sections for not native speakers?

Hey there, I have applied for several PhD Architecture programs for Fall 2015, mostly history and theory track. I have applied to Harvard, Princeton, Cornell, UT, UIC, UIUC, University of Wisconsin Milwaukee and Penn State. I haven't heard anything so far and I am getting very nervous!!! I just want to know at this point!
