  1. Congratulations, NicoleAnna28! I also was accepted for a Germany ETA yesterday and am still freaking out. What are your 3 placement preferences? Mine are BW, NRW, and Sachsen.
  2. I've seen in the past that specific notification varies by state. Some found out in April, others in mid-May, and others still quite late. I think the PAD takes over after we become full-fledged grantees and not just pre-grantees. I could be misremembering, though.
  3. Thank you! In my haste/ state of hyperventilation I missed that part!
  4. Congrats to everyone else accepted today! Is anyone else having trouble logging in to the IIE service portal? It's not recognizing my email for some reason.
  5. Hey Deutschland IIE people, It's your turn to send some emails (pleasepleasepleaseplease). A lot of people are waiting! And to all of those also recommended, I say: Glückwunsch! Ihr seid protal, ey.
  6. https://www.usta-austria.at/site/resources/participants This link breaks down USTA placements by province. There are also school addresses listed with each participant name. Were those the stats you meant?
  7. Others have been speculating that, since we've heard back earlier from Fulbright than applicants from years prior, we might also here from Germany a bit earlier, too. I am personally hoping we'll hear something around the 20th of this month, but I'm doing my best not to be TOO hopeful. In any case, every time I see an unread email from now until we know makes my heart start pounding. Good luck to you, as well!
  8. Hi bluestraveler, Like Larajean_p said, I also believe this preference section was optional. I am not sure if there will be another opportunity for one to state preference, but if you do have a strong preference and find out you have been accepted on the Germany side, you could probably get in contact with someone there to figure it out. I commend your lurking and will most likely be doing so on a weekly basis myself! It is all very exciting, and it is nice to share in the entire spectrum of emotions we all will/might feel during this second waiting process. At any rate, if you aren't sure you entered anything for that section, you can always peak back at your Embark application, as they are still viewable.
  9. Hello! I have also applied for both the ETA and the USTA programs and am really happy to have found some other people freaking out, however slightly, as well! My preferences were BW, NRW, and Sachsen for Germany. For the USTA App I chose Vorarlberg and Tirol. The only stats I could find were this year's placement numbers by state, but I could not find anything about total applicant numbers. Do we know for sure that Germany will get back to us in March? In the past I know it has been this early, but I'm kind of nervous about hearing about Fulbright AFTER the April due dates for the USTA acceptance (in case I get accepted to that program). Does anyone have any reassurance?
