Hi , I applied to UTD as well and they don't do interviews ! When did you finish your application by ? Hopefully we hear soon Good luck ! -
@Isugirl I think that decisions should be out by mid November at the max. Beyond that I'm afraid it will mostly be a reject. I've only read the previous spring applications on this forum and other sites and gauged this , it's nothing official that I'm aware of. Also, they will need to finish all their paperwork of the admitted students before they go on Christmas break, so they need a month's time to get all that sorted, so by this logic too mid November should be the latest by when we should expect an affirmation. Since they claim to follow rolling admissions they should start sending out admits in this week. Let's hope for the best!!!!

@Syd2016 my Orion shows that it is submitted , you should contact the school !

Oh thank goodness! One if my friends who's applied for engineering already got an acceptance from UTD , so I guess we should also hear soon.

@isugirl and @ uebersetzen , what does your galaxy postal say ? Mine says "your application will be sent to the appropriate department to begin the admission process"
-
Thank you !!! That's good to hear I hope we all get in .. I was reading last year's spring posts on the forum and it seems like Dallas notified people from end of September going to November 2nd week .. So hopefully the first round of acceptances should be out soon now All the best !!!!!!

@Isugirl We could wait till October 15th , one month from the deadline and then contact him ! I'm sure that would be okay , right ? Although I hope you hear by then since you applied so early. Also , it's weird how there are only the three of us on this forum who've applied to Dallas for spring ?
-
Isugirl , I've been stalking my email and this forum like crazy , haha ! Have you contacted anyone from the department? Dr Stillman ?
-
UTD applicants - Has anyone heard from them ? Or has anyone contacted the university/department?

No , I'm from Mumbai, India so travelling to visit was not possible. But I've been in constant touch with Dr Stillman hopefully that helps. -

Hi Isugirl , yes this is my second time applying. Gre - 304 and Gpa - 3.85, I was wait listed for fall but the seats filled up. Though I've added more things on my application in terms of experience, re wrote my sop , got letters of recommendation from different people so hopefully all this works in my favour. I loveeeee the program at UTD , it would be a dream come true if I got in , hopefully they see my passion through my application. All the best , October is arriving -

Isugirl that happened to me in the fall application, when I contacted Dr Stillman , he said that final transcripts will be needed only after you get an admit so that section needs to be ignored till you get accepted/rejected. But if you're still in doubt you can always speak to Dr Stillman. Hope this helps -

Oh congratulations on getting the interview !! One step closer to getting an admit Actually I haven't applied to any of the schools you've applied to , so I guess will have to wait longer than you. And Dallas anyways is known for its late admits , so let's see .. Hopefully by Mid October things get clearer -
2016 West Coast Applicants

They surely consider the entire application but they filter on the basis of Gre and Gpa , that's what I have come to understand. -
2016 West Coast Applicants

I honestly feel all schools are equally competitive, I feel like most people prefer the east coast schools. I applied to SDSU for fall 2015 , got rejected ! -

I'm applying to CSU Fresno for the spring intake. I wonder why the west coast is a less chosen option for us SLPs -

Teachers college Columbia also doesn't need GRE. -

Hi EmmyMac , thanks for the input. The reason I chose UTD was because of the overall experience they claim to provide. I'm really interested in adult disorders and if Fresno is child oriented , I may have to question myself whether I should apply there or not. I'm also interested in Voice and Fluency disorders , does Fresno have a good set up/clinical exposure in these areas ? -
