Hi Sarah, I noticed that you attended UIC. I am considering attending this Fall for the MSW and have already recived my acceptance. I am an out of state student and trying to figure out how to cut the cost down a bit. Do you have any knowledge of the financial aid offered at UIC? I don't have any log in information so I can't really search online specifically for me and I have called and they are very vague. Just trying to do some investigating!

Hi there! So sorry that I didn't see this until now. I'm not very familiar with out of state financial aid options, but my impression is that UIC doesn't give out much aid. I would email Edward Potts to see if there are options for you. I didn't get any aid my first year and my second year I got the Deans Award, which wasn't a large sum of money but it was something. I know they also give our a few tuition waivers. I was in state however, so that may have had something to do with it. I worked part-time while I was in school to off-set costs and am doing the ten year loan forgiveness program
