Do Top-20 PS departments usually care about one's AWA score on the GRE? I am not a bad writer at all, but I don't do well with writing these formulaic essays for standardized tests. Both my SAT and ACT writing scores were not all that great, back in high school. I'm taking the GRE this week and have not prepared for the AWA at all. So, should I panic?

Fair enough. Best of luck, it looks like you have a strong application. Just make sure that your LORs and SOP are equally strong.

On the ETS website, there is a free math review that may be of use to you. Also, helpful is this link - https://www.ets.org/gre/revised_general/prepare/. They break down each math topic and provide a link to Khan Academy videos for review. All very helpful, in my opinion. Once I realized that there is nothing more than algebra I and geometry on the exam, it became less intimidating.

Why do you list "academia" as your career aspiration here, but in the governmental affairs forum, you state that you would like to work for a think tank or in the foreign service...?
