Yeah no, I'm calling BS on this.

Mail in Toronto isn't delivered in the morning. And I live in Toronto, and I didn't get anything in the mail yesterday either, unless they sent out waves of rejections, acceptances, or wait-lists separately. Then it could be possible.

My mail comes around noon-1pm. I'll check when I get home this evening. He's probably just trolling us.

I highly doubt any of us keeners on here didn't receive anything, and his "co-worker" did. However, UofT did send out 3 waves of acceptances last year (from what I remember).

And if she received it today, her ROSI must have updated about a week ago. Which does not make sense.

I received an acceptance letter on March 10th (dated March 3rd). I wouldn't say for sure that all acceptances/waitlist notifications have gone out yet. Two years ago I received a waitlist letter in early April...

Thanks for the reply. I agree on that I believe they haven't finished sending out all letters yet. Guess we will have to wait and see.

Ps everyone ROSI is down past 1 (says "unavailable until further notice")

  3. I know not many of you applied to OISE for the Masters in Counselling Psychology, but just wanted to know if you had some insight.

On the results section of GradCafe, 2 people received letters yesterday in the mail (1 for a rejection and 1 for a waitlist). Would this mean all acceptances have gone out already? I don't think its standard to waitlist people before all acceptances have gone out

Hey, just a friendly disagreement here! My GPA is 4.0 and I've received 1 rejection and a very likely rejection from York so far (I haven't heard anything and I know they sent out acceptances/waitlists), so it's not very true that a high GPA will get you into any school. I have experience as well (I'm not a working professional though), but I think research experience is where I am lacking most. So just don't get let down if you don't hear anything, sometimes it's factors out of our control! A high GPA won't necessarily guarantee an acceptance, just a heads up :)

research experience was my downfall last year! had a 3.9 and a ton of volunteer/work experience.

and as its not almost 5, its safe to say we wont hear anything back today so, enjoy your weekends everyone.

Yup! Feeling super anxious today while I try to finish this assignment, but luckily the Red Hot Chili Peppers are there to blast through my speakers and get me singing :P Does dancing in my chair count as exercise?

Oh boy if you knew the amount of times I blasted music and just danced for a good 5-10 minutes at a time while studying in my last year. hahaha. it totally counts

Agreed. I am also in school and had three assignments due this week all while constantly worrying about grad school lol. I can't wait for it all to be over.

I just remember finishing up data analysis for my thesis while refreshing ROSI every 10 minutes. It was near impossible to focus on anything. But this will be over soon and we'll all have a much better idea of where we will be in the fall. The number one trigger of anxiety is uncertainty, so if any of you are really struggling in the meantime, I suggest lots of fresh air, exercise, and mindfulness meditation :)

If U of T doesn't say anything about 2 year admissions today, then next week has to be the week it starts.... right? :P The week we're currently in was the week admissions started for the past couple of application seasons. What do you guys think?

I think we're safe to say today we won't hear anything, and we'll be lucky to hear something next week! But fingers crossed.

I'm getting very anxious but I'm thankful i'm not in school right now. Last year this time, It was incredibly hard to study and get work done. To all of you still in school, you are TROOPERS!

You have no idea how GOOD that is to hear haha

hahaha yup :) I was waitlisted last year with like 1400ish hours and no research experience except half a finished thesis. So theres hope for everyone. They seem to look for the right fit/interests/goals as opposed to more of the standard must have X hours and X gpa type thing.

Does U of T send out acceptance letters first then waitlist and rejection? Western rejected me for non-academic requirements, so i doubt it's even worth it for me to wait for U of T and Windsor, as I'm pretty sure that my hours won't be enough for them either..

Hours aren't as big of an issue for UofT. I have a friend who was accepted with less than 1500.

To check for OISE counselling i went on ROSI and don't see any information on my application and then checked my sgs for uoft and it shows as under review. Anyone else also have this? To those that were accepted, did your status on sgs change to invited? Thanks!

ROSI will say "invited". So far I know of 1 or 2 people (based on the results section and other forums) who's ROSI's have changed to invited for the Counselling MEd program. I spoke to the program liason and he said they were still in the decision making process, and results should be out mid march (so within the next week or so).
