I am not sure, if it is rolling admission, but they extended the deadline to February 29 or so. Did you apply to San Marcos this year? & yeah it's pricey at 30k, but I like how small it is and it's closer to my area.
I was admitted to the 3 year Direct Practice on 2/17, but I am going to attend San Marcos instead. I want to get my MSW as soon as possible and 3 years is just too long for me. So hopefully this opens up a spot for someone else.
I think I am gonna attend San Marcos. I haven't heard anything from SDSU yet and I have now 6 days to respond. I realized that San Marcos is double the amount to attend, but I sounds like a great new program!
Hi Everyone,
Has anyone applied to San Marcos MSW program? I know that they are still in the process of being accredited now, but I thought that I would go ahead and apply. Fingers crossed!
Hi Everyone,
I thought I would go ahead and start a SDSU thread. I applied Dec 14 and received an email Jan 5 saying that they will try to mail out decisions by March 1. I am already going crazy and its only been a month.
I submitted my application Jan 12 as well and I have not received any email saying that it has been processed or anything. LB is a competitive school especially for Social Work. I hope we receive some type of email saying when they will be sending out acceptance letters soon.
Congrats on getting an interview! it seems like thats a step in the right direction. I applied to CSUN as well in December, but I have not received any email regarding an interview. When did you apply? & I think you will be okay. Just be yourself! & Good Luck!
I think you will be okay as far as getting accepted somewhere. You have a great story to tell and your overall GPA is over a 3.0 so you will be fine. What schools are you looking at in CA?
I am applying to 5 schools! SDSU, CSU Northridge, CSU Long Beach, CSU San Marcos & CSU Stanislaus. I have submitted SDSU & Northridge already.
I was thinking of sending the thank you cards to my references in the spring when I decide on that school that I am going to or is that too long for a formal thank you?
