YAY my coach said I don't have to follow any food restraints today so I'm on the popcorn and the chocolate (sorry @G) and the tortilla chips and cheesy fries and protein and vegetables can hide The adcoms are meeting on Friday for one school, I have an official .edu email address for another and haven't heard a peep from the rest...whoever decided putting refined sugar on foods was a good idea is my hero right now.

Morning guys, the waffle conversation is really making me want some but I don't have a waffle iron or any ingredients guess I'm making healthy cake batter for breakfast (honestly the best thing for sweet tooth cravings it's 25g protein and only 7 of fat and carbs). After my interview last night I received an email from the POI saying they will be meeting on Friday to discuss, that budget restrictions are tight but she really wants me so it's going to be fought tooth and nail. Great, doesn't help dull the nerves at all. This morning a woke up from an email from Florida giving me a UFL email address, where all official correspondence will be sent. Any alerts about status or anything will go there. But...but...I can't set up alerts for it to come in on my phone so now I'm going to be even more glued to my computer. Too much stress, tea and cake batter required!

oooohhh what recipe do you use? I'm experimenting with GF mixes at the minute (recently diagnosed celiac). Tomorrow is burger buns

Ahh just had interviews Felt like it went well, although I definitely said far too many awesomes, cools and I do this thing when I get excited where I talk with my arms so it looks a little crazy, especially on skype. Now it is out of my hands. I feel surprisingly zen. Now though, I'm overanalysing as the interviewer ended with "hopefully we will see you in the Fall". She did say though that I will know for certain before the end of the month. Oh Februgatory...

Welcome it's stressful no matter how calm and collected you are. Feel free to vent, discuss anything and everything with us we have wine! and occasionally puppies!! Good luck with your application

As someone who flies a lot, make sure you stay super hydrated! Drink lots of water, slap moisturiser on everywhere and make sure you get sleep. All that will mitigate the effects of lots of flying and should help you arrive to your destinations more refreshed It's exciting htough!

Just saw this and it made me sad. When I visited USC it seemed like an awesome place. Sure the location isn't the safest, but then where is these days? @The Interdisciplinarian I love Feburgatory as a phrase - it's so true. I've been so antsy all day waiting for my interview this evening. I've been super productive and done loads of work but now I've basically run out of things to do until I have a lab on Thursday (yep I did tomorrows work too). Also in the past it looks like Penn State start notifying most people of acceptances from around 12th Feb - 20th. Agh I just want to know. I know the results of my fellowship nomination at Florida come out on March 2. Ugh I just want to know. Also, to top off the million emails I had over night the POI said there's another faculty member she might want me to interview with later this week. Dragged out interviews? Really?!?!

Yay you guys! So much good news and happy vibes Y'all are awesome! In other news I woke up to about 6 emails from the professors who are interviewing me (today eeek) asking for my Skype handle (which the POI has as we've been talking for months). They were getting quite pissy (group email) as I hadn't immediately responded. Um hello, you're having this conversation at 3am my time. I'm asleep!! Now I'm more apprehensive about this. Definitely time to take it out on the weights.
