Hi! I haven't posted in here yet, but I've got a question and I would some opinions please! I've been accepted (yay!) to a school and found out the 2 day mandatory orientation is Aug 18-19 and there's a foundations course from Aug 22-Sep 2. Problem is I'm a bridesmaid for one of my best friend's wedding on the 20th. Would you miss the orientation for something like that? I asked the program assistant and she said they go over the technical stuff during that time, but I'm thinking I could get that information from students when I attend the foundations course. Thoughts?
Thanks in advance!
ETA: I'm doing a distance program and the school is in another province, so I need to fly out there for the orientation/course
So I've finally heard from Waterloo and it was a rejection, which wasn't so surprising at this point. I checked Quest and the status was updated. No email as of yet.
My wait is over, but I'm happy with my choice of the University of Saskatchewan.
Thanks for the reply!
It doesn't seem like Waterloo is very helpful with these matters. I just hate that it's taking them so long, especially since they gave a timeline
Hi, I heard from USask in mid-March. I applied in December, but I'm not sure if when you applied factors in much to their decision making process.
What are your choices/rankings for the schools you applied to?
I've declined my offer from Lakehead today, so that should open up 1 more spot.
For those asking about U of Sask, they send an email first and then update the PAWS website afterwards.
Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone here is planning to attend the University of Saskatchewan.
I've been admitted to the distance program, but I'm still waiting on Waterloo, which doesn't look too positive at the moment . After looking more into USask, I feel like it would be a great fit and I'm leaning towards that choice.
Let's get to know each other in this thread!
I applied for the Health Promotion distance stream, but didn't get an interview for it. This was my reach school and didn't really expect to get accepted.
I'm also waiting on Waterloo at this point. Good luck on your other choices!
Does anyone know for distance programs, how the orientation accommodation/housing works? Does the school help to set you up with something or do you need to find it yourself (hotels, etc)? Thanks!
Hi! This is my first time posting here.
I received a recommendation for admission to USask on March 14. I checked MyInfo for Lakehead today and the status has been changed to admitted, so they've finally started to send out their responses. I'm still waiting on 2 more schools to respond back (Waterloo and UAlberta).
Don't lose hope guys! Responses are coming slowly, but surely
Hi, this is my first time on the boards. Would someone be able to look over my statement? It's the first draft and I could use some advice and guidance. Let me know and I can PM it. TIA!
