Damn ETS to eternal hell!!!! this is the same exact scenario with me, I had the same shit happening!!! TWO verbal sections, one was fairly easier and the other was outright killer!!!! no idea which one is the experimental section but I would bet my life, the killer section was scored and I am struggling with my applications hoping the adcoms would focus on my research exp.
My top choices are Northwestern,Einstein and UW Seattle. I heard back from Northwestern a couple of days ago and it was a tad disappointing to have a first reject. However, I still have my hopes up especially for Einstein as it has a very good drug design and discovery program. Seattle again has some very good research going in my field of interest, so NYC or Seattle I am gonna live it up
At the end of the day, no one seems to care what research you have done unless of course if its ground-breaking shit! The names of the institutions on the Bio count and a quick look of the profile is not gonna give you a whole heck of a detail about the person's caliber but if one has that elitist tag in there it sure helps one go places.
Yo! its Scotch on the rocks for me and I have checked my compulsive behaviour of checking the online application status for updates!effff that! Keep a Word, Drop a Word; that's where I'm gonna be
Yup, that's what my boss is up to. As things would have it, I am taking a break and relaxing at home, some relaxation this! I'm just gonna put all this behind and hope for the best! We all will end up something good, fingers crossed lol
Just as I was consoling myself (by fooling around in Keep a Word,Drop a Word) about the reject from my top choice school, I get the news that one of my papers has been rejected. My hopes of getting a publication in a top-notch journal are crushed, I feel so disheartened by this whole new development. Wish the rest of the week goes by without anymore hiccups!
