Turns out no news is in fact good news. On the wait list for UVA. Full funding offered from LSE this week too.

Strange that so few people have reported NYU admits. It's almost as if NYU read this forum and decided to notify @IndEnth and I ASAP because we were both so sad yesterday. (Okay I know that didn't happen but anyway ) 

Got my eyes on NYU today too so good luck! With any luck we might see UCSD come out too but maybe that's too much wishful thinking on my part.

Today is a good day to get my first decision (acceptance, preferably). Just putting it into the universe.

I for one have opened the wine to drown my sorrows (at my end it's 11pm, so that's acceptable I'd say ). Didn't hear from Berkeley nor Chicago (and didn't apply to any of the other schools that released today), so this is a dark day.

Happened to me last year, and I reapplied.  If it happens again, I'm out.  
But don't take it personally.  This is an incredibly noisy process, with far too many qualified applicants than there are spots.  It sucks not getting in, but there is always next cycle and you can always find ways to enjoy your life that involve making more than 20 grand a year and spending all your time alone in the library.  

Mine just came in, without any email to inform me. Rejection is bad, but to feel like you are an afterthought is worse. They should review this system.

I did. I remembered T.S. Eliot almost immediately upon learning of my rejection, since it is the beginning of this month, might as well make some fun of me.

If you ask me, I really do not like this approach of sending admission decisions so separately, because I do not know what are the criteria for that. People who know later are waitlisted? So send a waitlist report. People who know later sent their applications later? So say that in your FAQ page, so I can prepare accordingly. I think decisions should be emailed to everybody at once, unless there is a practical reason for that being made differently. In this case I cannot see any.

It feels like today is the eye of the storm when it comes to admissions decisions. This coming week is going to be huge for all of us. I wish everyone the best of luck, and to stay strong.

Uhm... now you make my heart fall because I didn't even get that email from UPenn...

Who are the other Penn State admits? I can happily claim one of those admissions.

NYU seems set to follow standard early February release date. Spoke to my potential supervisor ( not on committee) today who told me the committee was meeting yesterday and on Tuesday.

Seems to still be all quiet all around for me..

From past years, you'll likely hear from NYU, UCSD, and Penn State in the first week of February. UVA appears to release decisions in clusters throughout February and Toronto doesn't make decisions until March.

None of the schools I've applied to have released decisions yet and watching all these decisions roll in that don't apply to me is sending my nerves through the roof!!!
In any case, congrats to all admits so far.  Hopefully some good news is on the way for me and others who are still waiting to hear back from their entire list!
