On the feminine hygiene note- i switched to a menstrual cup last year and its amazing. It was $40 but its medical grade silicone and will last for a loooonnnnggg time. I even got my sister to switch and shes gonna have my nieces use them when they get their own menses madness

On the friends note, i also have a hard time making and keeping up with friendships. I also hate having friendships forced onto me. Thats probably why I'm less than enthused about my roommate always wanting to talk to me and hang out. Ive gotten so used to being comfortable with just myself and my dog. Allergy wise - no to the shot. I just suffer with an occasional benadryl. Im wondering if my lab will make me have an epipen in case i become allergic to bees in my time here

My apartment needed us to have renters insurance and i got mine seperate from my roommate through my bank. Yall! I got my parking pass and student id today! Financial paperwork was almost done but i forgit to bring my ss card. D'oh! AND I just found out that my fellowship isnt taxable so saving for studio just got easier! Im just gonna throw that extra moola in my COD to collect interest! My fortune cookie from panda express said that ill be receiving some pleasant news in the future. I dont know whats more pleasant than this!

Yall are so sweet! Ive talked to her and we're gonna sort this out. My dad brought the rest of my stuff and my dog so thats lifted my spirits and made me less anxious! Our 2 dogs still need some time to fully warm up, but i dont thinj theyll have an issue. I just dont like sharing my dogs affection apparently.

Yallllll My roommate moved in and im already looking for places by myself. Im gonna stick here a year, but i dont think im gonna renew my lease with her. She brought so much stuff! It takes over the dining room and living room. Iur styles are vastly different and there are already things that are bothering me.

Spending the first night in my apartment in state college. My mom gifted me with some furniture for my bedroom. It looks like pinterest! My roommate is bringing some furniture with her for the living room and it is hideoouuusss. But its free so who am i to complain. Its def not ny aesthetic

The bareminerals complexion rescue gel is sheer to light/medium coverage. Very buildable, but won't cover a super dark spot as much as a full foundation will. But, it wears like a dream and holds up to sweat! I'll be so ready to not have to deal with a Georgia Summer. It's been high 90s AND humid. I feel like I'm drowning everytime I step outside. Please, Pennsylvania, give me sweet weather release!

I've moved from heavy foundation to the bareminerals complexion rescue tinted gel. Very lightweight and has spf 30! They've just added some new shades so color matching should be easier! I have a junk ton of lipsticks but lean more toward nudes. My fave is Maybelline's Maple Kiss from the Color Sensation The Buffs line. I used to be into colorful eyeshadow but now I stick to a nice sharp wing. This is so fun!

Ive filled an entire sterilite drawer tower with makeup. Im getting into skincare too! Youre gonna want a really good primer! A primer spray and a setting spray will be goid and lightweight. I use the nyx brand but am thinking of investing in skindinavia. Ive heard that spraying setting spray between layers will lock that shit in!

@hippyscientist i didnt see that yet but im def getting it. Ill have my car but sometimes its worth it not to drive! And tyey have bus stoos everywhere! I only had enough savings to get me through june and sone of july. Luckily i start in the lab july 1st and will have a summer stipend. Id be way more stressed if that wasnt the case

I hope your cat is okay! Have you looked into per insurance? I just got it for my dog bc he's a senior citizen now (almost 9!) Maybe youd benefit from it if your cat is prone to sickness

Anyone with roommates thinking about how long before they'll want to live alone? I don't think I'll want to until I get to my last 2 years/ dissertation writing.

In case anyone was wondering, the Purple Mattress now offers financing! It's definitely made it a more viable option! I don't mind giving them a little bit each month instead of having to cough up a grand at one time!
