  1. Thanks so much for your notes, Heather!! Looks like I'll be seeing you at HGSE in the fall
  2. I just got my financial aid info and it makes Harvard a fair bit more affordable than Penn, so I'm really looking forward to hearing your impressions from the open house!!
  3. I did! I didn't have to submit FAFSA as I'm international but I filled the other form in on time. I definitely had a moment of logging back into the application site and being like, wait, is my acceptance letter still up? (I thought the anxiety was supposed to end after we got in! :P) Oh well, I guess I'll panic if I haven't heard before March 30th. If it means no aid, though, that means it'll come to the same cost as Penn with aid -- Penn might even wind up costing a little less if by some miracle that extra 10k scholarship application works out!! (Time to frantically polish that scholarship application essay!!)
  4. Has anyone who was admitted also not gotten their aid packages yet? Mine's not yet up, all it says is that all documents were received... even if that meant no aid it should say so right?
  5. Just got mine in the mail! I'm international so it was FedEx'ed over. I was running late so rifled through it at school while waiting for students to arrive and they saw the folder and freaked out...
  6. I took two years to work in education back home in Southeast Asia!
  7. I don't think it really hit me until I watched the video? Major props to the person that made it, it actually got me a bit teary!
  8. I applied for the MA, not MEd, because I don't have a Masters yet, so maybe they're moving through those pools separately? I hope you'll hear soon!
  9. I heard back from TC yesterday with an acceptance! No aid info yet though...
  10. Now that most programs have released decisions (and hopefully Harvard will soon, if not today!), what are everyone's thoughts on making the final decision of where to go?
  11. Hi! When I submitted early Jan, I had the same thing -- I emailed and they manually waived the English requirement, and it was ready for review mid Jan, I think! And I heard back mid Feb, thankfully with good news! Perhaps you could try calling or emailing again? Though I think they were also super busy in Feb as well, so it might take longer.... All the best of luck!
  12. Are you an international student? I had the same thing because the app didn't automatically waive my English proficiency status even though I completed my undergrad in English, so I emailed them and they had to manually waive it for me before the app became ready for review...
  13. I'm really seriously considering it -- all my internship experience has been in public health but my employment in education, so I was torn between applying for an MPH and a M.Ed. -- the breadth of global health courses I could take in the program is super appealing to me! I also like that it seems to be a smaller class than Harvard IEP or Columbia IED, and I've heard past students talk positively about the relationships they built with their professors. I went to a small liberal arts college and had super positive relationships with my professors, so I'm hoping for that in grad school too... which isn't to say that it won't happen at the other two, just that it might not come as easily, if that makes sense? I've got to admit my heart's still kind of set on Penn, but this is a very, very close second. I hadn't read the thing about the diversity of the student body, will have to go look that up and have a read...
  14. I did hear back from Vandy, I applied for a Masters' in International Education Policy & Management and was accepted!
  15. Ooooh, is it the Middlebury Language Schools? I did Chinese there for a summer, was one of the most bizarre and yet best experiences of my life
