If you haven't heard anything then you are waitlisted! I did receive an email telling me this but the program usually says if you haven't heard anything then you are waitlisted.

CONGRATS!!! I am happy for you. I do not have the CSD background and I am starting to feel like my chances are slim to none. I am already planning for plan B.
I haven't seen many people that got accepted here so I think you definitely have a chance!! Some people were accepted in late February and they are just now sending out more notifications. I hope you hear something soon!!

Thanks so much for sharing--truly appreciate it. Mine stats are pretty good, although I am currently finishing up pre reqs. I will be finished this summer. I would assume good GPA' for undergrad, good grades in my pre req courses and decent GRE scores would get me in! Crossing my fingers and hopefully we will get to meet each other!
Good luck! It sounds like you have a really good chance!!! Let me know what you find out!

I got accepted to NCCU. I received an email from them on Tuesday telling me a decision was made and to check my portal!
Did you accept your offer to NCCU? I'm probably going to accept mine and just wondered if you did. I'm looking for other people who are and to see if there is a facebook group made yet?

I attended Purdue University and literally worked the entire time I was there so I ended up with pretty low stats.
Undergrad GPA: 3.09
CSDCAS GPA: 3.39
And my CSD GPA was a 2.97
GRE Scores: I took it twice just to add more to my quantitative score. As you can tell, it didn't work.
Quantitative: 142 Verbal: 152 AW: 3.5
Quantitative: 144 Verbal: 145 AW: 4.5
There is ALWAYS hope for those who don't have the best scores! A lot of it is about applying smart and unfortunately applying many places. I wish the best of luck to you!!!!

Hi guys! I just got my first acceptance to NCCU and will likely be attending. I'm just curious if anyone knows much about the school. I'm out of state and haven't visited so I'm rather unsure about it. I'm interested in knowing basically anything about this school so if you have any advice that would be great! Also, I will be looking for a roommate so let me know if you are interested and attending!

Hey! I just got accepted to NCCU. Will you be attending there? If so, do you know if a Facebook group has been made yet?

I just received an email to check my portal because a decision had been made! I got accepted!! I hope you all hear the same good news!

Did you interview for UDC?
I haven't heard anything back from them yet. But they also called me about two weeks ago because my college transcript never made it there. I'm thinking about sending an email to ask if they received it.

Thank you guys for all your advice! I guess my biggest concern is, if I need to reapply again, do I ask my old recommenders for letters again? What did you do for the second year applying?
-
I'm from Jasper Indiana so that's really cool! So do you have a job around Bloomington or did you have to look further into places like Indianapolis? I'm just trying to judge on where I may have to move to find work in ABA or such. I'm also not quite sure on how to go about researching and finding a job like this? Did you have to get any special accreditation to work in ABA (besides possibly getting your masters)?
-
Hello all. I'm currently realizing that I probably won't get into graduate school this year. I'm just curious what kind of jobs would help revamp my application and how to research these jobs. I'm from a small town in Indiana so any help/advice you have, would be helpful! Thanks in advance!

Yeah @kgehlha it hurts a bit but at the same time they worked hard to be there and its hopeful because it means that the waitlist will be bumped up! I am like, YES REJECT that school so I can get in!!!
It will be okay! Have you heard back at all from any schools?
I'm still waiting to hear back from 6 schools but it doesn't look good. I really thought I had a change at St. Mary's College but got rejected from there today. :/ I'm already thinking of what to do next. I'm not really sure what to do if you don't get into graduate school though. I'm free a really small town in Indiana so I'm afraid I'm going to have to move somewhere to hopefully find a job that will increase my chances of being accepted.
Have you heard back from all of yours?

So is anyone else getting really frustrated when many people are posting about trying to decide between which school to go to? I'm really glad they have that option but it sucks whenever rejections keep rolling in. :/

Their application was actually rather easy! I wondered why my application hadn't been reviewed and they actually called me to let me know that they were missing my transcript. It was rather sweet and they seem like very nice people.

I got this weird email from Gallaudet University around 12pm. It didn't say that I was rejected but did say I could reapply. I'm assuming that was a rejection but the email didn't make much sense. Did anybody else get anything like this?

Good luck! I'm sure you'll get in somewhere. My top choice for the longest time was Ohio University, but now I'm leaning towards Kent State.
I've heard good things about Kent so that is super exciting and good luck to you too!!!

All I've seen is that 2 people have heard from them but that's it. I'm anxiously waiting too!

Nope! I didn't even resend my personal statement because I've been accepted to 3 great schools. Where is your top choice?
Honestly I don't really have a top choice. I'm at the point where it's just kind of wherever I get in at. What about you?

Strange! I recieved an email about it 2/29, maybe if it's one of your top choices you could call and make sure everything was submitted properly. I also struggled with their application too and chose not to resend a personal statement.
I will definitely do that! Thanks for the heads up that there was a problem! Is it your top choice?

That makes me so nervous! I'd love to go there because of the emphasis on ASL and Deaf culture but I think it's pretty competitive so I'm trying not to get my hopes up.
I would love to go there too! I'm just nervous that there may be too much emphasis on ASL and work with deaf or hard of hearing patients. I'm afraid that we won't get experience in other areas which I'm sure isn't true. But I would still love to go there!

I just noticed you applied to Cleveland State, did you end up resending your personal statement? I though it was odd that they had a glitch in their system.
I haven't heard about a glitch with the personal statement but I struggled with my entire application. I kept getting an email that said my application hadn't been submitted and I knew I had already done that. I had the confirmation email and all so l called their IT department and worked it out. That was the only problem I had with them though. I didn't know there was a glitch with the personal statements!

I haven't heard back yet. However, I'm pretty sure rejections were sent via email and acceptances via postal mail.
