Can't stress this enough! I have 6 acceptances already, and am still waiting to hear back from several more. I miscalculated my odds, and probably applied to too many schools ... Only mention this because I don't think that silence at this point is anything to worry about - there's still so much shuffling that will happen as decisions come out. Looking forward to seeing those who are still waiting in silence get that first acceptance! (and in terms of tying up spots, I'll try to reject in a timely manner I promise)

Hi all, Long-time lurker coming out of the shadows. Thanks for everyone who's kept this discussion rolling so far. I can claim the Penn State/Irvine acceptances! For PSU, I received an email from a professor of interest asking to chat briefly, and was informed over the phone that I'd been accepted. I believe that they offered a first year fellowship, but I haven't received the official acceptance yet. My guess is that Penn State still has lots of offers to send out, since it's only 10 days after their deadline. Happy to provide a little about my background: Undergrad state public institution, Math & Soc double major, 3.9 GPA, 167 V/170 Q/5.5 AW, 2 years undergrad and non-profit research experience, but no publications. Especially curious to hear from UCLA admits! Best of luck to everyone else!
