Wahou. That was pretty harsh and definitive HistoricalLinguist. Flatnwhite, I would not worry if I were you Clarendon funding is not gone before the end of March so we've got two weeks. I'm in the MML faculty and there is usually one and sometimes 2 DPhil who are funded each year. They said that, if successful, I should hear about them in the next two weeks. If you want to do stats, look at Clarendon website: there is a list of Clarendon scholars with the year of entry and subject, you can then estimate how many students in your course get a Clarendon scholarship each year! And don't worry about your college: I don't have one yet, like most people, which means that, if you are allocated a Clarendon scholarship, they will allocate you one college that does accept to give matching funds

Someone asked about non-US interview yesterday morning and they replied that not all the interview invitations had been sent out yet but that it should be 'imminent'.

Are you talking about Gates Scholarship rejection letter? And if so, do you mean 10th February or 10th March last year? I don't understand...

Right. It indeed seems like they sent interview letters yesterday and the day before yesterday. However, they did not send every letter yet (see twitter) - maybe it depends on the committee. I know that people classified as doing 'biological sciences' have been contacted. I don't know about 'physical sciences', 'social sciences' and 'art', the other 3 reviewing committees. Do you know anyone in these disciplines who received an invitation yet? Anyway, the torture of waiting will end soon. I assume that if we don't hear about them by Monday evening, that's too bad...

To the poster above: Where did you see that? I was in touch with my department this week and they said that shortlisted candidates will be called for interview next week or the week after. It seems unlikely that they contacted shortlisted candidates yet. Are you sure that what you saw was not for US candidates?
