Hi everyone. Bumbing this thread. I was accepted into the MSPPM DC Track. I am going to accepted students day, trying to find out more about housing, funding and the program and if it is worth leaving DC to go to CMU (Also accepted to GW, AU and GM all of which are in the DC area, which I currently am living). I believe it is but would like some opinions from others, as well as how the first year in Pittsburgh is. Thanks!

Yes I got into GW for the MPA. Still waiting on hearing about funding though!

I got in. Anyone know about funding? Is it really until late March?

Hi Everyone. MPP decisions for University of Maryland, as I see from everyone here, as well as from based on my own current experience, are not out yet. I believe it is extremely likely that we will know shortly, with other decision deadlines approaching. I have so far been accepted into: 1.) CMU Heinz College- MSPPM DC Track 2.) GW Trachtenberg- MPA 3.) George Mason- MPA 4.) American- MPA Only funding offered so far has been from CMU Heinz. Currently living in DC till may. Likely will be going with Heinz, waiting to hear about other funding and UMD before accepting though!

Hey everyone. I created an account to start talking about Grad School acceptance and weighing my options. Congrats to everyone who has gotten in and best of luck to those still waiting. I have gotten into CMU's MSPPM DC track and it is my number one choice, however I am currently in DC interning so am wondering about moving and if its worth it, or if I should just take a job and stay here and go to school in the area. I am leaning on thinking it is, however I'm still waiting to hear about financial aid from other schools and a decision from UMD. I have also been accepted to GW, American and George Mason for an MPA. No funding offers accept for CMU. I think I might be a fool to pass up going to CMU, just thought I'd get some options from the ever credible and trustworthy internet and forum! However, it will likely have little to no impact on my final decision. It really comes down to $$$$$$$. Thanks!

Hey Martin, I applied to American for an MPA, GW for an MPA and Maryland for an MPP. I have gotten accepted into GW and American for an MPA, no funding or financial aid yet, but acceptance. I am still waiting for acceptance into UMD. I was also accepted into CMU for a MSPPM. Let me know when you get your letters. What are your GPA/GRE scores? Mine were just okay, but I had strong Letters of Rec and as well as strong essays.
