  1. I will be starting a clinical PhD program next month (woo hoo!). I am wondering what advice you would have given your past self before you started the program. For example, do you wish you would have kept track of your hours in research or clinic experience? Would you have taken better notes in a certain class? Would you have started your thesis earlier?I want to avoid common mistakes that people in this specific, rigorous program make. I would appreciate any advice about spreadsheets to create or software to get that may help me stay organized.Thank you in advance!
  2. Is there any benefit to putting parent information? I have heard that it provides need-based grants/scholarships which I always received in undergrad, however, this is a fully funded program so I don't know if the same rules apply...?
  3. Hi! I am 22 and will be starting a fully funded clinical PhD program this Fall. The past 4 years I filled out FAFSA as a not-married, dependent student with no income and provided my mother's tax information. I am slightly confused as to whether I should fill out FAFSA and if anything is different from when I filled it out throughout undergrad. Any information on this would be extremely helpful! Thanks
  4. I personally turned down an offer from an R1 university. I think it depends on your training objectives, the career you ultimately want, and how well the program/faculty/students fit with you. It's not all about the "R1 reputation" in my opinion.
