I went to Duke for undergrad and I loved the college life there. However, living in Durham, North Carolina would be totally different from living in Manhattan, New York. Durham is nice but it will not have that energy nyc can give you. However, if you do not care so much about the city you'll be in, then ignore this comment of mine:) Regarding student life at Duke, we have pretty strong school spirit. And that partly due to our strong athletic aspects of the school. You will feel a lot of support from your peers. Duke offers a career fair every semester. I found that to be very useful and you will find many companies coming in to join the career fair.

Got accepted into both programs for PhD and I'm having a hard time deciding between the two. Anyone has any comments, opinions? BU program is guaranteed funding for 5 years while Dartmouth is not. In terms of the biology program Dartmouth has a higher ranking and professors are very approachable. BU is in Boston and I love that city but Dartmouth is only about 2 hours away.
