  1. I totally understand how you feel, @js. I emailed the financial aid office, and they sent me back a very helpful email that made me feel a lot better. Basically they said they're still putting packages together haha. I sent my FAFSA in on March 1st, and they said I should hear by the end of the month or by the first week of April at the latest. Since you submitted yours in January, I'm sure you'll hear back even sooner! Don't worry, I'm sure everything will work out for you Also, you could definitely go ahead and email or call them, I'm sure they would be happy to give you a timeline about when you'll hear back!
  2. To be honest, I think the March 1st deadline was common among most of the schools I applied to, so I just submitted it then haha. As soon as they update my financial aid letter, I'll try and post here so that you can get an idea of when you might get a price estimate from them. Hopefully we'll all hear soon!
  3. Thank you so much @rose6593. I'll keep checking and hopefully they'll update it soon so I don't go crazy with the waiting haha! Are you thinking of accepting at TC, or are you still deciding between schools?
  4. @Skymasuko I should definitely be attending admitted students day on April 1st! Excited to see you there! In terms of financial aid, I submitted my FAFSA by the March 1st deadline. On "next steps" page of the admitted students website, it says that my FAFSA has been received and that I should get an email when a financial aid award is ready. That's definitely a relief, since I guess it means they just haven't done mine yet. Did you get an email notification of your award @rose6593 ? (Sorry to bother you with all these financial aid questions haha)
  5. Hi @rose6593, I just checked my financial aid award letter on the admitted students webpage, but it didn't have any numbers in it (except for the cost of tuition haha). I don't know if this means that they gave me no financial aid, or if they haven't updated my letter yet. Very anxious. I'll probably call them tomorrow. Did your letter contain an actual aid award?
  6. Thank you so much for the advice, @MrsH! That's a very helpful suggestion. I was going to call the financial aid office tomorrow to check on financial aid packages and scholarship information, but I'll definitely also ask about this. Thanks so much again! (I'm also really sorry about the decision. I'm sure you already have/ or soon will get into an amazing program. Definitely TC's loss!)
  7. Hi! I'm sorry I don't have any super constructive advice, but I just wanted to say that I'm in the same situation as you are! I'm really interested in working with bilingual/Spanish-speaking populations, so the Bilingual Extension Program at TC is a big draw for me. I am very worried about funding for both of these schools. Any advice or firsthand accounts from anyone would be super helpful!
  8. My letter didn't have anything about funding either, @flapjackal. I went to the admitted students website (there's a link in the acceptance letter). Under the "next steps" section it says that "you will be notified via email if you have received a scholarship award from the college." It also says that they don't give financial aid packages until mid-March (which is now?). I've submitted my FAFSA but haven't heard anything from them about that--I may contact the financial aid department soon. I feel the same way as you--I'm really excited about the program and really would love to go, but I don't know if I'd be able to do it without any aid at all.
  9. I just checked my portal and a decision was made!! I WAS ACCEPTED into the Bilingual Dual Certification Program!! SO ELATED RIGHT NOW!!
  10. I'm getting super antsy! I've heard from everywhere else, and at this point, even if it's bad news, I just want to know! I still really hope they let us know by the end of this week.
  11. This is such a helpful thread! Does anyone have any first-hand information about Vanderbilt's program? I would be especially interested to know about any clinical or research opportunities they offer for Spanish-speaking/bilingual communities. I'm also very interested Temple University, so info about that program would be super appreciated!
