  1. Made one. https://www.facebook.com/groups/1583111961985350/
  2. It's pretty difficult. I tried wg-gesucht, but, as i'm sure you'll notice, they all typically require a besichtigung, which isn't all that easy, considering I'm still in the US. I eventually found out that the studentenwerk at Stuttgart guarantees a room for one year for DAAD scholarship holders. So I'm doing that, which buys me enough time to find private housing for the second year. This is done through Stuttgart's International Office, so I would try contacting the international office and see if they can help.
  3. The award papers I received specifically said that the scholarship would only be valid at the one university to which I applied. Based on that, it seems it's unlikely that switching the universities is generally allowed. I've already switched my program, but it's still within the same university, so that's definitely allowed.
  4. I wouldn't worry about it. There's nothing to do with the insurance documents anyway. Nothing to sign, nothing to submit, etc, etc. Given their inconsistency in timing, just give it some time. And no, I did not sign anything on the declaration of acceptance. I can't even find a place on it that asks for a signature. Pretty sure you have to do everything yourself after getting the scholarship. I get the feeling DAAD takes a very hands-off approach at this point. They make it exceedingly clear that they will not find you housing, so I don't think there's any assistance in enrollment.
  5. Page 12 of the "Ihr Daad Stipendium" document has a list of actions to be completed. But I'm in the same boat as you. I think we're supposed to notify daad of when we'll be arriving. (middle/end of September for me). But since I haven't bought my ticket yet, there's not much to do, I think.
  6. I submitted my Declaration of Acceptance on Friday and the insurance information arrived on Tuesday. So 2 business days for me.
  7. lol. that thing has confusing wording. Choose the file and put in a name for it. I just did Declaration of Acceptance. Then click "add files" or whatever. This adds the specified file to the list of files you want to send. Then click send documents.
  8. I just saved and submitted that pdf back to them. I think they just want you to perform some kind of action that shows that you've received and read the scholarship information.
  9. Pretty sure it's done veeeeeery inconsistently. Remember, two other people had their study scholarships switch to funding about a week before mine did. I thought I'd been rejected. If they run the rest of their selection processes with the same consistency, I wouldn't assume you're out until it's over.
  10. Received an email notifying me of new mail in the portal. Portal has a bunch of documents with instructions on acceptance. I applied for a program for WS 2015 and I applied for two other programs SS 2016 as tests to see if I would get accepted. Was accepted to all, so it's only a matter of reapplying and reacceptance (one already came through). Meanwhile, housing is a whole other issue... :/
  11. Thanks! It really looks like selection made > blank > funding is the sequence to look for. Also, unlike herogirl i wasnt contacted about a language course. Which is fine as I don't need it. But it seems it's definitely not everyone.
  12. Just switched to funding. Good luck everyone.
  13. Her signature says DAAD Kazakhstan. So I think not.
  14. Engineering as well. Wouldn't surprise me if that's what's going on. Don't know what the other two had as their subjects.
  15. Still blank. What's your Subject group? I wonder if they grouped notification by subject group, and maybe the other two who already got it were in different subjects.
