Clearly I applied to schools that I'm not a fit for.
Can anyone recommend schools that aren't as competitive, but that still fully fund their applicants? I can't afford to pay for an MFA in the US. -
Why did I even bother? Hit with two more rejections this morning.
Pending [3/8]: NYU, Iowa, McNeese
Accepted [0/8]:
Waitlisted [0/8]:
Rejected [5/8]: Brown, UVA, Cornell, Pittsburgh, Wisconsin-Madison

That's exactly how I feel.
Worse still, it's spilling into work, where I'm bored out of my mind.

That would be the absolute worst thing....it's the last week of February and we should have been done with this process already! Ugh.
I thought universities made their decisions in March. Isn't Feb way too early for all these decisions?
I got those rejections two weeks ago, and since then, I've been feeling that no news is good news. If they haven't rejected me yet, maybe I still have a chance.

One school?
I need anti-anxiety pills.

HI everyone. I'm new to all of this - the forum, the applications, MFAs, the stress and anxiety, and the shorthand you all use for these programs.
I already have rejections from Cornell, Pittsburgh, and Wisconsin. I'm waiting to hear (for fiction) from the Stegner Fellowship, NYU, Brown, Iowa, Virginia, and McNeese State. Is there any reason for me to continue to hope, or is it unlikely that I'll get in if I haven't heard from them yet?
