Hey there, my friend was selected for SAFLI Hindi scholarship as well and she decided to turn it down and take the CLS instead, so there's definitely hope for you! (She hasn't officially declined it yet, stay tuned...)

No, the SAFLI Boren is a set program, mandatory participation in the Madison Wisc summer program and the specific fall program..its already planned out. I have to choose one or the other, and I decided I am going to forfeit the CLS for the Boren. 2 months of language study vs 6.. had ta do it!

Not sure, I looked but didn't see anything. I am now in the situation to choose between the CLS and the SAFLI boren..... anyone have any experience with one program or the other or think one would be better for any reason? Anything at all would help!
