Thank you for the kind response. Very useful information. But Columbia was too damn expensive and I got rejected by Boston, so I am in Chicago now. I will take these words with me and try to get the most out of this short experience. Best luck to myself and also to you.
U Chicago, Maph. I know that everyone says it's money cow and blablabla, but hey I get partially funded and people + the art history department + the city are great. I chose it over Columbia. Columbia was so thoughtful and nice tho, Professor Harrist emailed me to welcome me himself and the department director called me twice to chat and say hi.
I got into Columbia for MA in Asian Art! But with no funding.
Well, it is not a problem for me since I did not spend much for undergrad (on a full-tuition scholarship). But still, the living expensive in NYC might just kill me right now.
And they are already pressuring me into making the decision. Is it okay to email my other schools at this point?
All of these good news from Columbia and Yale are freaking me out...
I applied to their MA programs in Asian Art. Is it common that we hear back from them later than the PhD decisions???
*screaming internally*
