There seem to be a bunch of rather well-known schools that boast low acceptance rates into their MFA programs, but that do not offer much funding to students... Like not even a full tuition waiver... and few TAs
So there are actually a bunch of people who want to take out loans to go there? Seriously? Why? What's so awesome about those schools?
Anyone know where to find a complete list of
1. MFA schools
2. MA schools
...? Both in studio art. Grad-school search sites all seem to have incomplete listing of MFAs (for MAs, I can't find any list.)
Thanks
there are a bunch of popular art grad programs that accept only 10-20% or so... both big name and not-so-big name schools.
ummm if you were just one of average art undergrads that made "ok" or "better than average" work, with no publically recognized professional experience.... should you even apply and throw your 50+ bucks?
I get the impression that those programs just take in extraordinary people ( judged either by talent or experience or both)
Still hope for a miracle?
