Does anyone else ever wonder if there are two people out there who've been accepted to their second choice and waitlisted at their first, but their first and second choices are swapped and they're in locked in a game of waitlist chicken?

Girllll I feel you over here in waitlist hell. It's *almost* worse because I was SO SURE it was gonna be a rejection, and now it's a waitlist, and I'm just like PLEASE GOD LET PEOPLE REJECT THEIR SPOTS. (PS: doesn't matter if you're a girl or not, I call everyone girl. Figured I'd make that clear. It's my version of 'dude'.)

It really just depends on the year, I think. I was informed they've gone to where I am (midrange) in the past but it all depends on who got in and if they accept or not. No way to know, but more info will be available tomorrow.

Rejected from Oklahoma, which was (I felt) my only shot, as I didn't vibe well with Indiana. Well this sucks.

That sounds awful!! I hate talking on the phone so much anyway. Ahahaha omg. This reminds me of when I was in high school and applied to my dream school... in my dream I died, and they sent my parents a letter letting them know that had I lived I would have been rejected. ?

God this day. Refreshing email and praying not to see one. Waiting desperately for a phone call. My brain did the thing where I kept "waking up" but wasn't actually awake. I cycled through about six versions of my bedroom (increasingly nightmarish scenarios around me) before finally waking up.

@Darwin, I did not have that foresight and between two friends and myself we made it through two pitchers of frozen margaritas. Two. I'm taking a gentle yoga class later then checking out a friend's moving sale. Then reading until I start pretending I can sleep, I guess.

I think it depends where you are and what your priorities are. For me it's only 21 months and I already have a ton of undergrad debt. I want to go as cheap as possible, because all programs are accredited so it doesn't REALLY matter. It's also not like I'll have money or time to really explore any city I'm in. I met with a genetic counselor who shelled out for one of the more expensive schools and when I asked her (in general) what she wished she'd known before school, she said she didn't regret it but also didn't feel her education was worth $x more than any other GC program. That kind of soothed me a bit. For me? I'm young and haven't had a full time job and so cost is WAY more important to me than it is for others. I also don't have a spouse/family/etc. to consider. I think it's really just personal. EDIT: That being said, my #1 is inexpensive but I also really vibed well there. If I felt the same vibes there as I felt at the other, I probably wouldn't be as seucre in my ranking.

I'm working part time and got my class covered so I don't have to teach - it's a 9:15 so there's a chance it'll be right after an email or during a potential call. Probably will play Zelda while I wait for emails/phone calls, and then get smashed either way. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Pretty sure you just let them know you're waiting to hear back from x school before you make your final decision. It's pretty common. Don't hold onto more than one waitlist spot and you're good.

It sucks, but I'm glad I did both my interviews in February. It's a lot of waiting but I didn't have time to overthink the interviews. I think it would've made me seem crazy!

Can anyone who's interviewed or has some idea of what to expect post some possible questions and/or how interviews go? I have literally no idea what to expect. I'm assuming I'll introduce myself and then get asked questions? And then ask them questions? There's so many interviews at Oklahoma it's freaking me out!

So this is my struggle because I loooove makeup. And I don't want to seem unauthentic but I'm definitely not gonna do like... Instagram brows or anything. But I also just don't like going out without at least foundation, concealer, brush, brow gel, eyeliner, and mascara.

Stupid question, but.... For those that have interviewed before or are doing so now... what kind of bag do you plan on carrying?? I kind of want to be able to have a notebook to jot notes, but I don't know if a briefcase would be too much. A notebook fits in my purse so I have that... am I overthinking this?
