  1. Hello I am in need of some advice on what to do to get into an Occupational Therapy program. I am currently an undergraduate student and am graduating soon with a 2.75 GPA. I have taken all my pre req's for OT schools and finishing up some this coming semester. I don't have too many observation hours but am working on it. My question is, if I do not get into an OT program, which would it be better for me to do in order to have higher chances of getting in when I apply again: Option #1. Complete an OTA program, get an associated degree in OTA, and work in the OT field Option #2. Complete a masters program in one of the following (health sciences, public health, behavioral science). Aim so have a better GPA in my masters program and then re apply to OT schools. My only concern with option #1, is that and OTA program give you an associates degree, and I feel like that's taking one step back instead of taking one step forward,--like a masters program. However, I can also see that an OTA program does take you one step closer to the OT field. Would my GPA from the OTA program count and help me, in the decision of getting into an OT program?
