  1. If Yale is one of your top schools, I would send the scores now AND email them. If you only email them first, they may not respond for a while if they're busy, and then any slight chance will be completely gone. It might be too late now, but it's still worth a shot and you're only losing out on $35 dollars.
  2. BTW, I just want to note that Zam, even with your GRE scores, there are schools that will take you with your academic record (especially since you have a Masters, research experience, ect.) It's just that you only applied to 3 very competitive schools/programs.
  3. Yep, that's they they were very surprised when no questions about research were asked -almost thrown off guard. So, it's good to be prepared for anything they throw your way.
  4. I agree with the above. Most of the departments I've spoken to want at least 50th percentile. In fact, some mentioned that as long as your GRE scores meet that threshold, then you're good to go.
  5. You're in a great position! Although it will be exhausting, you're one step closer to your goal! What I would do is look at the mission statements for this school, research some potential laboratorys and also search around for common interview questions. One of my friends just had an interview, and they said they were mostly asked personal questions; Why do you want a Phd? What made you get into this field? They said none of the questions were about their specific research. However, it's good to be prepared for everything that they could throw.
  6. Congrats on the interview! Which program?
  7. What schools did you apply to? I saw in another thread your undergraduate GPA is a 3.12, and your graduate is 3.90. Can you state your GRE scores? How many credit hours are your Masters? Did you have a thesis as well? Also, are you domestic or international? How are your LOR's? I don't think your SOP is the problem. It could be you applied to a lot of schools that are competitive. If you give more information about what I stated, it would be helpful. You could also PM me if you don't feel comfortable posting that information in the public.
  8. I really think you're overthinking this. Small discrepancies like this are okay. What wouldn't be okay would be if you had put an incorrect GPA, test scores, or anything along those lines.
  9. Man, you guys are crazy smart in this thread! I'm applying to 6 BMI programs - all are smaller programs, but still nervous because my stats aren't the greatest (very low uGPA, however, solid Masters GPA in BMI and lots of research. ) And also, AGradStudentHasNoName, is that really true about domestic students having an edge due to the high amount of international apps? Likewise, I could use any edge I can get. But anyway, I just want ONE acceptance.
  10. Whoops! Posted this in the wrong thread! Good luck to everyone on their acceptances!
