  1. Sorry to sound the UK alarm. Looks like it is changed and there is no notification deep breaths all around
  2. Greece!?! Congratulations!
  3. You'll love this: my mom found the doc on googlespreadsheet and has been coloring the Hungary row so she can keep track "for" me. She didn't realize everyone else could see it too. I love my mom
  4. Yes, I would like to know too? I think I am just so excited for everyone I want all the notices to come out!
  5. The UK was just listed as notified! Who knows?
  6. Yes! Many congratulations to you!
  7. AHHHHH!!!! I am so excited for all of you!
  8. Where did you see Austria @Horb? Super exciting! I've just been waiting, like all of us, for someone-ANYONE- to get notified so we can know that this is really and finally going to happen! Thanks for keeping us informed
  9. Wow! 9 hours! That's impressive! I will hold hope for you that there is a way for you to be together often
  10. @ibette I can't remember to which country you applied, but does it offer an increased stipend for your husband? I will truthfully say that part of the reason I chose Hungary was tit offered family support and a possible extension of an extra year. I am hopeful the extra stipend $$ will really help us, though I doubt it is a sigificant amount of money.
  11. Hey fellow patient applicants! I was just offered a four month position organizing a local non-profit as a contract position. It doesn't start for a few weeks and while the money could be a great boost the time needed to complete the job will certainly create a balancing act between my other jobs, my family, and packing up my farm and farmhouse to rent it out should I receive the Fulbright. The question is, is it crazy to take on something completely new and different 20-30 hours a week right before leaving the country for a year or two? Feel free to send me your considerations, ask me questions etc. I may have to decide on the job before I hear about the Fulbright and want to be as realistic as possible about what it will take to move a family of four! Any help is great!
  12. Funny one of the first things on my mind this morning was, "oh! I wonder if anyone on the East Coast got their notification?!?" and then I thought maybe those of you first in line would like me to call your Fulbright Commission on your behalf and politely and firmly request the notification date? I'm looking at you Belgium and Germany! HAH! Can you imagine ... well, it was fun to consider for a moment anyway... still waiting.
  13. I asked my Fulbright Commission about the stipend as they had an old pdf on the website which had two separate numbers but was also dated 2013. They simply didn't answer the question, even though they responded to other questions in the same email. I heartily agree with @hobakie that asking current or past Fulbrighters in your country about their personal experiences.
  14. The EPOG program looks engaging. I didn't have an interview with CoDe, the application noted not all applicants are interviewed. My impression of the interviews is they are mostly looking for English fluency, not as much examining content of your application- so maybe your 5' is just fine! Now we hurry up and wait
  15. Yes, happy March! Even my kids are starting to want me to check my email! Sheesh- Hungary notifies as early as 11 March and as late as April 12!!! Please oh please let it be in March! Looks like a lot of us will hear in the third week! Wahoo! Now to get through mud season...
  16. @catling looks amazing! Wow! Spain and Germany and a whole cohort to learn and grow with as well. These Erasmus programs may not be perfect but they appear to be pretty awesome!
  17. @nautilus90 the website for your program is so well fleshed out compared to mine! I love the diagram at the bottom of the application page, looks like they pay someone to work in communications Guess I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that the geographic window does get funded because it certainly reads like the option is there for you otherwise! Pretty exciting, really!
  18. Oh my goodness! You too! This is fabulous- congratulations!!!! I have not seen a letter of any kind yet, but it seems the EACEA approval is mostly a pass-through, unless you have a criminal history or something along those lines you will get to keep that scholarship! Looks like a great program!
  19. Wahooo!!!!! This is incredible! Congratulations I am so excited for you! Where will you study? Wow!!!!!
  20. @catling Yes, thanks for the suggestion. I found a group, and it is mostly populated by a few grads of the program showing the work they are currently doing. It is helpful, I hope the group you found is helpful- the FB groups seem to be either about answering application questions or, like the CoDe one, a group of former students. I guess I just need to sit tight and keep waiting
  21. Have any of you found another forum like this but with lots of EMJMD applicants? I also applied for a Fulbright this year and there are lots and lots of people discussing it on forums, but nothing on EMJMD/Erasmus etc.
  22. Wow! Congratulations! This is a big deal! And the waiting is over- so much good in one day! WiIl you take the offer? Did it include info about the scholarship too? I can't tell you how excited I am for you! Which track are you taking? Wahooo!
  23. Well if I get the Fulbright I will need to pack up our farmhouse in order to rent it out while we are gone. I have started going through closets, the basement, laundry room etc so I have less to pack and fewer decisions to make this summer. I figure even if I don't get the fellowship our house will be tidier!
  24. Hello Fellow Old People (ha!)! I just found this thread and love it! I love being considered old at 39! Just today my 10 year old asked me again how old I am and I, of course, replied "Really, really old." I just finished my BA June 2016, but it took me 10 years to get it done- a class a quarter with kids, dying parents- you know the drill. I ran my own small farm for over a decade and have been either a part time farmhand, private contractor for nonprofits, or a board member for non profits in our rural area for the past 20+ years. Now I've thrown my hat in the ring to either get a Fulbright to study Rural Development in Hungary or a Masters in Comparative Local Development through the Erasmus Joint Masters Degree program! Totally crazy. My husband and I would need to rent our old farmhouse out, pack up and move abroad with two elementary-aged rascals! Could be really fun, right? Just waiting now, like all of you, and it is nice to have such, ahem, mature company!
  25. Thank you, even though you don't have any other real info (just like me), it is nice to know we're in the same boat! Let me know if you figure anything out. Fingers crossed for you in the Neurasmus program!
