I was referring specifically to the structures that appear in some Sarah White linear pyrograph work that resemble abstract scaffolding or just construction sites in general. I probably didn't use the best words the first time, no worries no offense taken! -

Yea I was looking at faculty work when I was considering what schools to apply to and I agree Dilg is AMAZING. I hadn't heard about the Grant Wood Fellowship, that's a pretty nice perk, bringing in crazy talented artists to teach. Susan White is phenomenal, I love art that references architecture! Moving past that...AAAAAAAHHHHH nnnnnnnnooooo I was warned by one of my professors about UIowa because he had a student who went there a couple years back, that did not like the grad program but that was printmaking and as I understand it had something to do with the other students. I was really hoping it was just printmaking, I even emailed current painting students to double check out of paranoia, they didn't say anything about it... This sucks I really liked their painting program too... Thanks for the heads up meghanmetier I will be sure to keep this in mind! -
