Anyone wanna share their status updates on Hopkins Health Behavior and Society and UCLA Community Health Sciences? Still haven't heard back...

Just got some good news from CUNY Dept of Community, Society and Health!

I asked my POI at Harvard and he said that there were 200 applicants for 7 slots and that I wasn't at the top of the applicant pool probably because of my GPA (Undergrad 3.2 but in major 3.6, Grad 3.8) and GREs (154V, 157Q, 4.5W). He gave me this as general advice tho because he said he was not a part of my application review process (surprising bc I mentioned him extensively throughout my statement).

Just curious if anyone wants to claim the Sociomedical Science acceptance at Columbia and share stats possibly?

Really? Three years? Wow. Who did you speak to if you don't mind? BTW I'm a native Californian (SoCal) living in NYC. They told me Pitt's weather is similar to NYC. I've been able to acclimate, and that's a big deal lol. Let me know if you wanna PM.

Just got rejected from Columbia Sociomedical Sciences PhD. Kind of expected this. But this sucks. I had a really close match with faculty in terms of research interests here and I am currently an MPH student here. Darn. Sent via email, no interview.

What about the structure of the program turns you off? Also, which track did you apply to for Columbia? I actually like Pitt's program but I'm not sure about the location. I would also need to confirm who my POI there is because if I don't get my first choice then it wouldn't be worth it to go there...

Results so far, with most recent at top: Harvard: Social and Behavioral Sciences - rejected; this one hurt because I really matched research interests w the faculty University of Pittsburgh: Behavioral and Community Health Sciences - accepted and glad, but not thrilled NYU: Social and Behavioral Sciences - rejected; don't care because their program is brand new and has lots of hiccups according to my advisor Emory: Behavioral Sciences and Education - rejected; don't care because no faculty/research aligned anyways

Anyone wanna claim one of the two UCLA Community Health Sciences PhD acceptances on Feb 17? Did they interview? How was the decision conveyed? I don't see any changes on my Decision Desk. UCLA is my top choice! Would really hurt to be rejected by them. Also my alma mater.
