  1. I heard back from Columbia this morning. All interviews for the MFA program have been scheduled for this year. They keep all applications on file until final decisions are made so won't send out official rejections until mid- to late-March. Guess it's time to get back in the studio and start prepping for next year. Good luck to everyone with interviews!
  2. I know, it's kind of a racket right? They won't send out rejection letters until after the deadline.
  3. lol, it's just residual sour grapes on my part. What I really mean to say is, if you don't hear anything today don't stress it. I remember going a whole week lamenting that I didn't get an interview only to see the email the following Saturday saying I got one.
  4. My experience with Bard was that they were always late to make their deadlines for responses. I believe they sent out interview notifications on the Saturday or following Sunday of the week they posted that notifications would go out. I was told I was wait-listed and never got a single follow-up from them after that. The only way I figured out I wasn't making it off the wait list was by looking at the class schedule and seeing they were starting in a week. Not even a form email being like, thanks for applying but it's not happening this year, kiddo.
  5. Yeah, it's really easy. It's in addition to FASFA. It took about 5-10 mins to complete.
  6. I don't recall. I think they told us how many people are accepted in each dept when we broke out by concentration with faculty.
  7. I don't know how many people they invite to interview, unfortunately. Congratulations on getting one! Good luck!!
  8. Moving Image/New Genres are lumped together at Columbia. They said they are accepting 10 in total at the info session.
  9. Congratulations! Can you send a link to some of your work? Would love to check it out.
  10. I just called the Columbia admissions office and they told me that they just started reviewing the Moving Image concentration applications now and we can expect to hear something by the end of February or the beginning of March at the latest about interviews.
