  1. Anyone hear back about financial aid stuff yet? @chaparralcountry Energy & Environment. What are you interested in?
  2. Yeah, it's pretty quiet in here... I'm only going for one of the days. If you're coming from NY you'd be eligible for a $250 travel reimbursement, just FYI. Good luck with the FAFSA and CSS profile. My stuff was submitted to Duke on the 13th, and their system doesn't say they've received it yet, I'm not worried about it though. If your stuff hasn't been processed by the deadline don't stress, they're probably swamped.
  3. Fellow Bren applicant here. I haven't heard anything yet, nor have the other people that I know who applied. Looking at the results page for Bren, the earliest reported date is Feb 11th. That was in 2014, and they likely have more applications this year than they did then, so it will probably take them longer to process them all. That being said...waiting sucks. Hopefully we hear sooner rather than later. Good luck!
  4. Congrats!!! Sounds like a interesting research area. I've had to do a bit of work involving impacts to avian species from wind and solar development. Duke is definitely not cheap, but Durham looks fairly affordable. Are you planning on going to the admitted student's weekend?
  5. Not my first choice, but still stoked to have gotten in. What kind of research are you interested in?
  6. @wildwarbler Interesting. Good luck! I wasn't expecting to hear anything until March...getting an acceptance on February 6th has been a godsend. I hope you don't have to wait too much longer. Did you apply anywhere else?
  7. @ligament Review of your application is going to be contingent upon having your letters and GRE scores, so there's a high likelihood that if you sent them in later that's why you haven't heard anything yet. I heard back from Berkeley ERG yesterday. Rejection. I'm bummed, but if I had gotten in I would have been shocked. I'm still waiting to hear back from Yale, UCSB, and Michigan. What specialization did you apply to @ Nic?
  8. Thanks, @wildwarbler! Have you heard back yet? What specialization did you apply to?
  9. Whoops...definitely meant <3.0. On a semi-unrelated note, is there a way to edit past posts?
  10. >3.0 checking in! I have 5 years of experience, solid letters of rec, and a decent GRE score, but I was really concerned that my GPA would disqualify me. Not the case! Just got accepted to one of the more prestigious schools I applied to.
  11. I submitted that post! I submitted my application on December 15th. I wasn't really expecting to hear anything until March, so getting my results on Feb. 6th came as a bit of a shock. When did you submit your application? Good luck! Did you apply anywhere else?
