    As in they offered you an interview and you're still waiting for the official confirmation? How long ago did they contact you, because I was waiting for the e-mail before making any solid travel plans.

    I just heard back from Rutgers about an interview. It seems like they're definitely doing rolling interviews.

    That's interesting for people who may have picked Baylor as their top choice, but then can't rank them in the match system.

    I dunno if it's just my anxiety of wanting to get in to the program... but I definitely plan to rank all the schools I interview at. I already narrowed it down from 40 to 9... so I'm pretty sure I'd be happy to go to any of those schools.

    I just noticed mine also says "Jonah Peranson". I guess they forgot to change the name before forwarding it to each person. Looks like they just rectified it.

    Did anyone else just get an e-mail from the National Matching Service reminding us of the rules? I had a mini-heart attack when I saw it, thinking maybe I had broken some rules.

    I don't think they select return-applicants first, but I was wait-listed last year, so I was just curious if that made a difference. I honestly don't think it did, though.

    Out of curiousity, did they interview with Manitoba last year? I'm kind of wondering if they e-mailed the people who had previously interviewed with them first, and will be e-mailing the other applicants later.

    Fellow Canadian here. I've heard back from Manitoba already, but I haven't heard of anyone else who has, so they may still be giving out interviews. Last year, UBC sent out their interview invitations on February 3rd, so they could be sending them out any day now. I've been rejected from McGill three times, and every time it was on the VERY last day of February. I'm not sure if they send out interview invitations earlier than rejections though. I believe UofT is mid-February.

    Yeah. It was a form e-mail, but it had my name specifically at the top, so they might be copying and pasting the form one-by-one. It offered 6 days and asked for top three.

    A lot of universities say that if you don't follow their personal statement guidelines then they won't even read it. This is most likely why you didn't get an interview there. It's too bad you weren't able to resubmit. I think the rest of your application looks great. Still a lot more programs to hear back from!

    Knowing either way would help a lot with scheduling, budgeting, and even prioritizing. Because I'm Canadian I want to make sure that I prioritize the Canadian interviews over the American ones... but what if I accidentally book a bunch of American interviews during the only times that one of the Canadian schools has interviews! (An incredibly unlikely worse-case scenario)

    Something like "Are you sure February 2nd isn't too soon? Also, don't forget to set your automatic e-mail to tell people to contact ____ about admission and interview questions"

    I think the schools you already applied to will like to see your perseverance, especially if you've greatly improved your application. It shows that you really know that this is what you want to do. I don't think the new schools will know you're a second time applicant unless you tell them. I worked it in to my admission statement that I had previously applied and when I didn't get in I did a different Master's but have come back to genetic counseling since.

    I only interviewed at UBC and Manitoba last year, so it might not have been me. Hopefully we cross paths this round though!

    Last year I think they sent them all at once. They asked us to rank our top two interview dates and will be prioritizing interviews based on that, which makes me think they were all sent at the same time. That being said, they haven't confirmed my interview date yet, which could mean they're still sending out offers.

    @CdaveyGC Are you bound to Michigan? I know it's tough being stuck in a location when the competition is so tough.

    All of my interviews have been e-mail and all of my rejections have been snail mail.
