Thaaanks! I just got my vignette. I ended up submitting the GAF with a letterhead but no stamp. Fulbright does not have an official stamp. This was fine. I chose the "better safe than sorry" route and included everything. Might as well have squeezed myself into that UPS envelope.

To UK fulbrighters from US: Hi all! I have a visa question. For those of you applying for a UK visa from outside the US, did any of you find it necessary to submit your Grant Authorization Form with an official letterhead and stamped by the Fulbright Commission? I have the GAF, but it will take some time to get it on an official letterhead. Don't have much of that. I am willing to get it done, but I was wondering what you all did. Appreciate the help!

Going to have a drink tonight for this forum. I have never been so engaged in a dialogue with as much momentum as i did this. Everyone here was so friendly and helpful, and reminded me of why i chose to pursue graduate school in the first place. To be surrounded by like-minded scholars such as you guys makes the world of a difference in me continuing to work hard and strive for higher education. Also, that google spreadsheet was impressive. Wow! The force is real. If the planets are aligned right, I hope to run into some of you in the future. Cheers. Don't stop reaching for those goals. If you have come this far, you have come a long way.

@inkstainedarm That is interesting!! I hope so too! I also got an email a couple of days ago from my Uni with the first line of it saying "We are delighted to confirm that we have now received either your deposit payment or official confirmation of sponsorship to secure your place on the MSc Conservation and Biodiversity programme." I thought that was interesting how it didnt specify either the deposit payment or the scholarship, especially since I secured my deposit since the deadline in November 2016. I am hoping the timing of this email is because they will notify us soon aka THIS WEEK.
-
@Dilemma1 I hope we hear results tomorrow. How did your interview go? I am going to start my MSc in Biodiversity and Conservation at the Penryn campus. What are you planning on studying?
-
I didn't get any scholarships. Fulbright is my only chance at funding my Masters. Any particular reason why you ask?
-
Study/Research in the UK. University of Exeter in Cornwall!

I'm either going to have the best birthday month, or the worst. Depending on the news from the UK. Reading about the Netherlands, Bulgaria, and Poland. Congrats! I hope to know by early this week. So close, but so FARRRRR. I did get confirmation from my Uni that they received my deposit to secure a place for me in Cornwall. Unrelated to the Fulbright, but the email got me excited. Anyone else from on the gradcafe waiting on UK results??
-
SAME. Ah! What did you apply for?
-
It was a general question on US politics. "How would you describe a current topic in US politics to a local?" I also got the elevator question. Something along the lines of "How would you respond if I asked you what your plans were in the UK while conversing in an elevator?" I also was asked a more practical, what is my plan B if I didn't get the award. I thought that was interesting.

Great answer! Thank you! I felt that my panel was engaged, so I'm hoping this increases my chances for an award.

@shaynes007 This is my first time as well. I am applying for a partnership award to the University of Exeter for an MSc in Conservation and Biodiversity. It's my first time that I applied as well and got interviewed a couple of weeks ago. The wait is horrible! I am crossing my fingers. Best of luck to you. What course are you applying for and why? This is so exciting to be a part of this forum! Gera
