Hello, everyone! I am new here. I was a high school English teacher for five years but have been working in politics for the last ten months. I had hoped to earn a PhD in Education Policy. My research interest is in de-tracking and equity of content. At any rate, I have been admitted to the Ed.D. program in policy at GW, the PhD in program research and evaluation at VCU, and school leadership at UVA. The last two come with pretty good funding packages. Yesterday, I found out that I was not admitted the PhD in policy at UPenn, but I was admitted to their MSEd in policy with a partial scholarship. So, I'm really torn. My dream was to attend Harvard, but I was outright rejected from them. Should I take the MSEd (I already have an M.Ed. in curriculum and instruction) and do another round of PhD applications after that or the PhD that's in not quite the right field?
Thanks for listening!
