  1. Thank you! Not a problem - I have a BSc in Life Sciences with an 82% average for my last 60 credits. I have been working for 2 years in Health Education/Curriculum Design and was lucky to get some really great faculty recommenders from my job! Other than that, I have some volunteer and leadership experience (nothing health related) that I talked about in my LOI. If you want more details, feel free to PM me Hope you hear from them soon!
  2. Saskatchewan has updated their portal - my status now says "Dept Recommend - Conditional" which I assume means accepted... I haven't received any notification from the program, and can't seem to find any accept/decline information. Might be worth it to check your Sask portals for those waiting for a response
  3. I just got an email from Shona at the University of Alberta - I have been recommended for admission. I applied to the MPH Health Promotion stream. In the email, it says that the Faculty of Graduate Studies and Research (FGSR) is is 2-3 weeks behind with admissions. This is why some people have already received updates in their portal and why some people are still "Under Review". I just logged in to the portal and my application is still listed as "Under Review" so I guess that will be updated relatively soon. Good luck to everyone still waiting!
  4. I am also still waiting for a response from U of A MPH Health Promotion - it is making me crazy! I probably check the graduate application portal 5-7 times per day. I think if I don't hear back from them by tomorrow I will send them an email. I am waiting to hear from them before accepting a different offer.
  5. The deadline Western provided to accept their MPH Program offer is May 15 2017. I am waiting to hear back from other schools before making a decision - it is probably safe to assume that others may be doing the same since quite a few MPH programs have not sent out any admission offers. Best of luck to everyone
  6. Western's MPH program is sending out acceptances! I just got my offer letter via email, but received a phone call from the program offering admission a few days ago Still waiting to hear from Alberta, Toronto, and Saskatchewan but it seems like they will not be sending out any offers until April...
  7. @Vekin7 Thanks so much - fingers crossed!
  8. Hi @Vekin7 - Congratulations on your acceptance to SFU! Did you receive your acceptance via email or through the mail? I also applied to this program and am now a bit worried since I have not heard anything. Thank you
  9. This thread is a great idea! I found some stats for University of Alberta: In an average year there are 300 graduate students - 33% MSc, 50% MPH and 17% PhD 14% are distance students 15% are international students Since 2006 (2006-2016), there have been over 4000 applicants (over the ten year span) and 1 in 5 have been admitted. I'm assuming that the number of applicants has increased over the years as the program has become more established. Stats can be found here: https://www.ualberta.ca/public-health/about/report-to-community-2016/effective-education
