    Hey! Do you have any plans to share this feedback with programs? Since there aren't identifiers, it may be useful for them to review. A GC I work with (not affiliated with any program) suggested this so I wanted to ask. Thank you for putting it together!

    Hey! I submitted Jan 2 (really close to the deadline lol) and heard today. I was invited to interview.

    Anyone heard from South Carolina? They were my earliest deadline (Dec 1) and not a word!!

    So I actually almost applied to Emory and ran into this same issue. They do have different requirements for their letters, don't they? I scheduled a time to speak with the program director and kinda gave her an elevator pitch of the things I have been involved in. From our quick conversation she was able to identify someone else that would be a suitable reference and was going to make a note in my file. I didn't end up applying there for other reasons, but don't let that requirement deter you if you are really interested! Most schools would be willing to work with you on that sort of thing. Who wants to be a cookie cutter applicant, anyway?? good luck!

    So when programs ask for statements in x many words, are you guys taking that literally or have you written some that are in their page equivalents? Example, a school wants a 500 word statement which I consider to be two pages double spaced, but my two pages are 565 words in total. It has been SO hard to tailor multiple statements to all of the school's requested lengths. Any input on what you have been doing would be awesome!

    @GCBrittany I applied to Maryland too! Maybe we will have an overlapping interview and can meet up. @AspiringGC Arkansas is one of the closer programs to my hometown but I am not actually applying there. I didn't have all of their science prereqs and I know they are really into telemedicine...which might be the way of the future but not my current interest. I am, however, applying to UT!! Maybe we will have an overlapping interview time and can meet up.

    Hope everyone has had a great holiday weekend! Anyone out there applying mainly to Southern/East Coast schools? I would love to keep in touch with someone similar to me, especially as interview invitations are approaching.

    Are you guys doing anything nice for your recommenders? A simple "thank you" just seems so inadequate for all of the work they put in to write letters, review CVs/personal statements, etc. Just wondered if anyone was planning to give little gifts or handwrite a note.

    So if a certain school's deadline is Dec. 1, but they say they don't review applications until Jan-Feb...do you think scores from a late November GRE would be considered?

    So I think I know the answer to this- but programs want individual transcripts from all schools attended, right? It's not enough to send your latest one that has all institutions/grades listed? Hoping someone has found a loophole for this somewhere. Really not wild about paying for transcripts from 3 schools x 7 programs I'm applying to!

    Hey @WFUGC, I emailed and they responded asking if I had taken organic even though my biochem class didn't require it. I said no, explained how I flip-flopped majors during undergrad did a little elevator pitch about myself and what led me to GC. No response. That was Wednesday. I'll give them a few more days, but not looking promising.

    So I had my eye on a school, but it looks like they've recently updated their admissions requirements to say that a certain class needs a certain prereq to be acceptable. I have the class minus the prereq they want....and it's under required coursework, not suggested. :| given that they consider the whole applicant, should I just put in anyway? If I don't feel like I can put in there I have to accept the stress of finding another program where I feel qualified.... For the record, it's the biochem requirement. Didn't have to take organic chemistry before I took it.
