It just seems like an easier route to go through Carleton. I took micro and macro in first year and didn't really try very hard, and I got a 60 in both. I read somewhere that registration starts on the 22nd of March for Carleton but I could be wrong!

For those of us who have to take ECON 1000 in the summer, does anyone know when we have to register for the courses? Are the exams in class/on campus, or can they be done through distance education?

For those of us who received an unofficial offer a few weeks ago and have not received an official offer yet, I just checked my status on Carleton Central and my application status has changed to "Review in progress by Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Affairs", and my specialization says International Development Policy. Hopefully this is a good sign, and we'll be receiving our official offers soon!

I spoke with npsia administration. For those of us who got the unofficial acceptance email, but no funding details yet, we would have to wait until mid to end March for official acceptance and funding details. The current strike is significantly slowing down the process.

Can alumni/people with insight shine some light on the type of co-op placements one can get? Specifically outside of fed government (if there even are any)? Just speaking for myself, I'm much more attracted to NGO work and aid work and career wise I would like more of a job where I actually get to visit the field. As such i'm drawn to orgos like CARE, Plan, Red Cross etc. (Also not opposed to places like GAC, I just hear they are slower, more paperwork etc).
Also, I know this is a bit ahead of myself but I'm just wondering if full-time job prospects post NPSIA really increase. One of the biggest reasons I'm going back to school is because I'm tired of casual contract work. Im just nervous I may not end up any better off after taking two years to go to school. So just want to make sure investing in NPSIA is actually has the career rewards that I hear many people talk about.
I know these are two loaded questions so any insight is helpful.

Also- I just emailed Tabbatha regarding tuition and I will post here once I get an answer.

Checked Carleton Central this afternoon, and my specialization is now specified as being Conflict Analysis and Conflict Resolution.

Nice to see they got invites out so early this year! Official offers with funding started rolling out anywhere from 1-2 weeks after the unofficial ones last year. Most of the TA/RA offers came out in the first batch I found, but there were some exceptions as always.
I’ll make a recommendation for those who are certain they’re coming to NPSIA: make up a class of 2020 Facebook group! We used that over the summer to connect with other students and find possible roommates. Helps make the move to Ottawa less daunting! It also becomes a great place when you start to share events and ask questions about class (and post memes about statistics...).
If anyone has questions about the program, classes, or about the city itself, please don’t hesitate to ask! Be seeing some of you in class next September.

    Hey everyone,
I just got an email from Tabbatha! Now patiently waiting for the funding offers, as I recently received an offer from GSPIA in January! Goodluck to everyone
