  1. I checked my visa status and it changed to 'Issued'. Im all clear! Thanks for your correct advice too?
  2. Ever since the interview yesterday my Visa Status says Administrative Processing though. That is what has me worried?.
  3. Hi. I applied for F1 to do my PhD in Chemistry. At the end of the interview she told me I will have to go through Administrative Processing and I should get my Visa the following week. She did not issue me a 221g slip nor request additional info. She just kept my passport and I20. Should I be concerned?
  4. Anyone here with a full assistantship and had a visa interview? Did they require showing additional funding even though all your finances will be covered by the school?
  5. That is normal.
  6. If I get a full teaching assistantship (tuition and stipend) from a university, does that mean I have to apply for a J-1 visa?
  7. Still Waiting to hear back from SUNY Albany's PhD Program in Chemistry. Results should be out around March according to previous results.
  8. Just went to check the UCF application portal for updates and received the rejection. Congrats to those who got admitted!
  9. I received an invitation to interview the following day!
  10. Congrats! That is a good school and good location. I do recall reading that stipends and tuition assistantships are available. Your stipend should go far in that location. https://chemistry.buffalo.edu/graduate/financial-support/
  11. It means the department recommended you for admission. Congrats!
  12. Thanks for your feedback. Fingers crossed!
  13. Why would a member of the graduate committee contact you to let you know they are reviewing your application and talk about their research and state they are open to questions regardless if you choose their lab or not? Would this mean my application is favorable or am I reading too much into this?
  14. Anyone moving to Miami for Fall 2018?
  15. Sounds interesting indeed. My graduate degree was biotech in nature and I totally enjoyed working with LC-MS. I guess we are working in the reverse of each other lol. Me starting out in biotech and moving to forensic and you starting in forensic and moving into biotech. Hahaha!
