  1. What's not to like about Harvard SysBio? You would need a very good reason to choose Cornell over Harvard. Unless you're 100% sure about the specific area you want to work in and they don't quite have that at Harvard, this is a no-brainer.
  2. Has anyone who applied by the January deadline got the decision from the Systems Approaches to Biomedical Sciences PhD program at Oxford?

  4. Do you have any clue if they're done sending interviews or not?
  5. Definitely it would. GRE Subject Tests are often considered the least important part of your application, but in a case like yours where you haven't done much coursework in the area the test would show the adcoms that you know your stuff.
  6. I've heard from NYU Sackler before the break.
  7. Wow, 12/6 is something. Thanks.
  8. Thanks. Do you have any clue of whether they're done with interviews?

  16. I am applying to very competitive programs in computational and systems biology. None of them require the GRE Biology Subject Test, although some do recommend it. I got a percentile score of 90% in it, so I'm definitely sending it to programs which recommend the test. What I'm not sure of is whether I should send the score to programs which don't list the test as recommended. My main area of interest is cellular & molecular biology, and here I scored a bit lower (81%). Would it still benefit me to send this score? P.S. I'm an international, if that matters.
