The variability in notification across schools is killing me. I feel like individually checking all 6 application portals is just a part of my morning routine now--coffee, then obsessively checking the results page here, then logging in to every portal and checking on my app. Decisions one way or another are really going to mess up my mornings. Lol

SO MANY INTERVIEWS ALREADY. 
 
Every day that passes I realize how difficult it is to get into these schools lol. I really need to commit to a plan B, as little as I want to think about not getting in. 
 
Can't believe some schools are already admitting. People, come and claim your interviews and acceptances!

This is so true, and I'm trying to hold onto that thought! 
Fingers crossed that I get to be one of the motivation/experience admits, then, since my scores are far from perfect. Oh, well. 
I am *so* ready to start hearing about everybody's results. If I don't get in, at least I'll get to see some of you get in. 
I KNOW, that 160 mark is killer. I retook it after subpar scores when I took it during undergrad, but didn't improve nearly to that 160 mark. 166V, 151Q (from a 162V and a 147Q)..
You and I both for UWM and UM! Sociology of health is my jam too. No publications here, but I have some brief RA and TA experience with good LORS (including from my sociology statistics professor, who hopefully vouched for my ~~wacky excellent~~ statistics skills). SOPs are my downfall, and I'm very much hoping committees will review my writing sample even if they're iffy on my SOP; the writing sample is probably the strongest part of all of my applications.

Congrats on the first batch getting done! I decided to do all of mine at once so I am fiiiinally done! 
I was also told to cast a wide net. My research areas are super wide, and my background is kind of varied, so I have room to expand in most programs. 
Positive thoughts coming your way. I work in service at the moment (those bills, y'all) and know exactly how it goes. Let us all know when you get your things submitted! Everybody's on the same team here.

I submitted for the Science Studies cluster as well. I'd love to work w Dr. Epstein, but I'm also in that spot where NW does not seem like they'll like me as an applicant. 
If you haven't submitted your application yet, I'd probably tell you to bite the bullet and write something up. My cluster statement is pretty crappy, but I feel happy it's in there. To each their own, though--the burn out is real at this point!

That's hilarious! My mom told me I don't need to become an MD. But, I feel like that if I don't get in (again)... I'm going to seriously consider becoming an MD or something. HAHAHAHA

The program is going really well; I have a 4.0 at this point and just started data collection for my thesis. I'm hoping my LORs sell my quant skills better than my GRE does, though. My program was light as hell on quant, but I took every class they offered for it, so hopefully that counts in my favor.
