Also I saw some people talking about a studio tour? I didn't hear anything about that, maybe not a photo thing?

Thank you! Good luck to you as well, it's funny having all these internet people become real people in the world again with this. See you at the crit!

Photo interview Wasn't too bad, no surprise questions, other than who do you think is making work about my subject matter (family) and getting it wrong? Was so prepared to talk about people I am drawing from that that thew me for a moment it did feel like a conversation where once we got through the obvious "why grad school what's your deal" sort of stuff, like their questions were just responses to things I said and not off a list

yeah I was contacted for an interview about a week ago, it all seems pretty scattered there though so it doesn't necessarily mean anything, the interview date they offered me was March 2, this Friday

I've also been overthinking this all month, decided to go with kinda hip slim pleated slacks in a more unusual color and a nice sweater. I think Art professional has room for more self expression than normal business professional, shooting for personality while still looking adult and like you take this seriously is the goal, so yeah no denim, holes, wrinkles, and something that you feel confident and put together in!

Have a poor read on the SAIC Skype interview today, felt like it went well initially and now I'm running it over and over in my head, 25 minutes felt very very fast.

Congrats to everyone who got interviews, and sending encouragement and support to those who didn't this time, it's definitely not the be all end all of anything. I'd love to hear if anyone has any previous knowledge or experience regarding the ratio of portfolio vs. new work brought to the interview for photo? With the reputation of being so output/production focused I could see it being a benefit to have significant portion of new work, but like someone else previously mentioned I submitted work from up to late December and don't have a ton of new work from between now and then and feeling nervous. Also does anyone know if you're putting up prints on the wall or passing them around? wondering what size prints I should be considering.
